Thread Topic: the last of us.

Joel chuckled a bit. "They have been sitting here for a while. I thought, why not give them to someone that may enjoy them." He walked into the stock room and sat down on the floor. He grabbed a can from the top of the stack without looking and tossed it to Ellie. "Here, eat something. I have enough in my pack to last us for a minute." He also grabbed one of the bottles of water and tossed it in her direction. He grabbed his own can. His just happened to be some fruit cocktail. He also grabbed a bottle of water and opened it, taking a swig.
-
imsoclueless SeniorEllie caught the can and squinted at the label, unable to make out what it little of it was left. She shrugged and set it beside her, grabbing her water. "I'll eat in a bit, I wanna check out the comics a bit," she commented, grabbing one of the books Joel had given him.
-
"Okay." Joel said nodding, as he scarfed down his can of assorted fruit. He also chugged his water. He didn't realize how hungry and thirsty he was until now. As he finished off the last bit of food, he thought about the trip that him and Ellie were going to make in the morning. It shouldn't take them long, he was just unsure of what would be waiting for them when they got there.
-
imsoclueless SeniorEllie hummed as she crossed her legs and opened up her comic, beginning to read.
(sorry, i'm so braindead rn :')) -
(It's okay!!)
Joel positioned himself against the wall. If he remembered right, there around actually be some sleeping bags somewhere in this building. It would be better than the hard ground for sure. He grabbed a candy bar from the food stash as he stood up, and gave it to Ellie as he walked out of the room. "Be back again, I promise. Going to try to find us some sleeping bags. Or maybe some blankets." He made his way out of the room, and left Ellie to the pile of comic books he had found for her. He made his way to the room where he had found the stack of comic books, and there was another room behind it that was connected to the basement. He climbed down the ladder, and looked around. "Dammit..." He muttered. He forgot to grab his flashlight, but hopefully in a few moments his eyes would adjust to the semi-darkness that filled the basement area. -
imsoclueless SeniorEllie nodded with a yawn, glancing at Joel for a moment before turning back to her comic. All the exhaustion from running and protecting herself was finally catching up to her, making her eyes flutter as she tried to stay awake. She laid down on her backpack, continuing to read the comic in her hands.

(I am so sorry for my late response ðŸ˜)
As Joel's eyes adjusted to the darkness of the room, he could see the faint outlines of the shelves. There was an overstock of food that would have filled the counters and shelves of the shop up front. As he looked around, he spotted what he was looking for. There was a section that had some sleeping bags, and blankets. He grabbed the sleeping bags and blankets, carrying them under his right arm as he climbed the ladder again. As he made his way back to the room that him and Ellie were staying in; he paused for a moment. He thought he heard some rustling outside, but it could just be his ears playing tricks on him. Not many people knew about this place anyway.
He continued walking, but kept an ear open just in case anything caught him by suprise. When he entered the room, he could see Ellie was almost asleep. He set up a sleeping bag on the floor, and placed one of the blankets on top of it. "Here, hopefully thats a bit more comfortable." He looked at Ellie, then started setting up his own sleeping bag and blanket near the entrance of the door. -
imsoclueless Senior(xD you're so totally fine!
dw abt it!!)
Ellie woke herself up a little and nodded, yawning as she moved over onto the sleeping bag. She unfolded the blanket and pulled it over her legs, laying back down and going back to reading. She soon fell asleep with the comic splayed across her chest, head tilted to the side as her chest rose and fell with each breath. -
As Joel finished making up his sleeping back, he went to look outside the room one more time. Just to make sure nothing, and no one was sneaking ip on them. When he felt satisfied, he turned off the light, and layed down within the sleeping bag. It took him a while to fall asleep, but he eventually lost himself to the call.
----------
The next morning, Joel woke up, his vision slightly blurred. He rubbed his eyes and sat up. Everything seemed to be in order, and nothing had come to suprise them in the middle of the night so that was good. He stood up and stretched, glancing over at Ellie, then at his back pack that was sitting against the wall. -
imsoclueless SeniorEllie rolled over onto her side in her sleep, facing Joel as soft snores came from her, her chest slowly rising and falling.
(majorly braindead, sorry ^^') -
(It's okay!!)
Joel grabbed the pack, now heavy with food and water that would be much needed on the journey they were about to make. He rolled up the sleeping bag and blanket, and placed it next to the food supply that was still in the room. He thought it would be good to keep it here, since it wouldn't fit in the pack, and it would be a nice to have something in this place for the next time they stopped by. Joel cleared his throat. "Ellie, time to wake up." He said, his throat slightly cracking. -
imsoclueless SeniorEllie groaned, rolling over and facing away from Joel. "Five more minutes, I'm exhausted," she mumbled in her half-asleep-half-awake state, curling into a ball.
-
(I thought I responded and then I forgot about this place. I am so sorry ðŸ˜ðŸ˜)
"Fine." Joel said walking through the inside of the shop, and to the door that lead to the outside. He opened it, and looked at the road in front of the station. Hopefully by dusk they would be in a better spot, with better resources. -
imsoclueless Senior(xD you're totally fine!)
Ellie hummed with triumph as she roll onto her back, yawning softly as she drifted back to sleep. She tugged the thin blanket over her, another yawn escaping her lips. -
Joel stood outside for a couple of minutes more, before walking back inside. He had left his backpack inside anyway. He looked at Ellie, then walked over to his backpack and hoisted it over his shoulder. "Alright Ellie." Joel said, clearing his throat. "Up and attem." He stood there for a moment, making sure she got up, before walking out of the room, then heading outside.
