“Still asleep- s---, what’s- what’s going on, Joel?” Ellie asked, trying to hide the panic in her voice. She kept her pistol at the ready, her eyes darting around the room.
-
"Soubds like Bill got a visit from good old fashioned raiders." He said, shaking his head. Somehow, trouble seemed to follow him any time he thought he was on the right track. "Are you okay?" He asked, seemingly concerned. After this, they had to go find Bill and make sure he was okay.
-
*Sounds)

“Yeah, just a little pissed because of my rude awakening,” Ellie replied with an eye roll, chuckling when she looked back at Joel. “Are- are you okay?” She asked, going back to looking around and watching for any of those raiders Joel mentioned. “You’re- you’re not hurt, are you? And where’s that Bill guy??”
-
"Fine and dandy. Still in one piece too." Joel said, smirking. "As for Bill, I'm assuming he is near the kitchen, or in the den. I heard some scuffling earlier, so I wasn't sure." Joel stood up, and quietly made his way back out into the hallway. Funny enough, he couldn't hear anything now. He didn't know whether to take that as a good sign, or a bad one. "Follow me." He whispered to Ellie, and keep close. He created his way downstairs, and surveyed the area. It still looked the same. Door hung ajar, and a few stray leaves had wandered in.
Joel made his way toward the kitchen, past the dining room and the unfortunate soul who had encountered Joel on his search for the others. Once Joel was in the kitchen, he could hear labored breathing coming from the den. Joel rushed into the room to see several of what was considered raiders, and Bill who had a pistol gripped in his right hand. "I'll tell you what, sometimes I feel like I'm getting to damn old for this." Bill said, groaning as he attempted to stand. Joel rushed over to help his old friend. "So," Bill looked at Joel and Ellie. "What do you say about leaving this s----hoke behind and going on a grand adventure?" -
“What kind of an adventure?” Ellie asked with a soft chuckle, walking over to Joel and Bill.
-
"The one where we start by getting the hell out of here." Bill said, chuckling for a moment the coughing slightly. "Joel, you still have the keys to the truck?" Joel nodded, pulling the keys out of his pocket. "First things first, let's get in the truck, and see where the road takes us." Joel nodded, and make his way to the garage. The truck the Bill was talking about was blue and white. It had an open cab in the back, and the front had enough room to seat four or five people. Joel walked over to the passenger side door and opened it. He helped Bill get in, then he shut the door. When he walked over to the drivers side, he had a moment where he thought about going back to the Ma and Pop shop, just for some gasoline. He opened the door and motioned Ellie to get inside.
-
Ellie hopped into the truck, setting her bag at her feet. “So, where’re we headed to next?”
-
"I guess...." Joel said, thinking for a moment. "I guess we'll make a stop in Pittsburgh." Joel definitely knew the dangers of going to a big city like that, but they were on the hunt for the Fireflys. There had to be someone there that either saw them, or knew where they were headed. "Now," Bill broke the semi-silence that radiated the car. "If you are headed that way, just find the half-way point and drop me off there. I can't do the big city, and I'll be damned if I die to one of those mushroom-headed freaks." Joel just shook his head and chuckled. "They're called Clickers, Bill."
-
“Yeah, get it right, Bill-“ Ellie joked, chuckling softly.
-
Joel continued to drive, and he popped a CD in the player. He turned to music up, and just cruised down the road.

Time Skip/Joel dropped Bill off somewhere

Joel had finally approached the outskirts of Pittsburg. It was a beautiful city, even though mist of the buildings had started to deteriorate and were covered in plant life. "Just a forewarning, Pittsburgh is a dangerous place, but it also is the best place to go that might be able to point us in the direction of the Fireflies." As Joel said that, they made there way further into the city. As he drove, there appeared to be a man in the middle of the road that seemed hurt. Joel was thinking about stopping, but he revved his engine and blew past the man. Before he knew it, a bigger truck came from the right hand side, and rammed into them. "f---!!" Joel said, trying to regain control of the car. -
Ellie screamed in her panic and tried to brace herself, deciding it would be better to protect her body and covering her head with her arms. “Jesus f---ing Christ-“
-
Joel gripped the steering wheel, trying to turn it in a way that would get them out of this sticky situation. As he tried to regain control, the truck crashed them into a building. Joel slammed into the front of the car, losing consciousness for a second. Whenever he reagined it, the two mean who were driving the truck that hit them were approaching the truck that he and Ellie were in. Joel quickly jumped out of the car and shot the first guy. He looked over, and the man that was approaching Ellies side, and fired a shot. He ducked down, and made his way over to the other side of the truck, quietly opening the door. "You okay?" He said, surveying for any wounds, but not seeing any
-
“Ugh, yeah, I- I’m fine-“ Ellie replied, groaning softly as she sat up a little. “Got thrown around a bit, but- I think I’m fine.”
-
Joel nodded. "I'm glad you're okay at least." He said, helping Ellie put of the car. He shut the door quietly behind her. "Stay down, and out of sight." He said, hearing multiple voices on the other side of the store front they just crashed into. He looked around, and found a hole in the wall that would lead them outside. Joel motioned Ellie to go first, just in case the men that were outside would come through the store front first.
