"Totally," Ellie replied with a chuckle, looking around. She walked down the small walkway and to the room in the back, opening it up. She yelped as she quickly staggered back, panicked for a moment. "f---in' hell!" She exclaimed as a zombified person bolted towards her, reaching for her gun and shooting them twice in the head. She exhaled shakily and backed up, shooting the body again for good measure. "Jesus Christ..."

Joel was slow to the draw, but kept the fun in his hand anyway. "Good shot." He said, his heart beating a tad to fast in his chest. "But, it was my fault for not checking this place out. I should have done that." He looked at Ellie. "You okay?" Now that Tess wasn't here, he was going to have to stay and be strong for the both of them (figuratively). He peeked behind Ellie to get a view of the now deceased Clicker. "Must of been the owner of this place." Joel looked at a picture that was on the counter of a man, his wife and two kids. It was sad when he thought about it. It was like one day everything had been turned upside down. He started to walk down the camper steps. E

imsoclueless Senior"Yeah, I'm alright," Ellie replied, a slight shaking in her voice. She holstered her gun and shook herself off, stepping away from the dead body. "That sounds really awful, though. Dying in your home, all by yourself." She exhaled and stepped past the corpse, walking into the bedroom. "Well, ours for the pickin', I guess," she joked, going to rifle through the drawers.
-
Joel looked at the highway outside. He thought back to the day it happened. His daughter. Tommy. The guards, and what happened to most cities. "If you find anything useful, just keep it." Joel said, his mind swimming in thoughts. He sat down on the steps as he waited for Ellie. The sunlight hitting him. He thought about all of the things he could have done, and should have done. Now that he was older, he had time to reflect. Nothing in this new world was ideal, and initially he had gotten in with a bad group of people. Something that he shouldn't have done. But as always, you live and learn. He looked back at Ellie going through the drawers. "Find anything interesting yet?"
-
imsoclueless Senior"Not much, though I did find a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, and what looks like drugs in a plastic bag," Ellie said with a chuckle, pocketing the cigarettes and lighter before shutting the drawer of one of the bedside tables. She looked over to the other one and let out an excited breath. "Well, well, well, what do we have here??" She climbed over the bed, grabbing a comic book that laid on the top of the dresser. "Ooh, this'll be a fun read. And it's in pretty decent condition, too," she said with a smile, turning towards Joel to show off the comic book.
-
Joel smiled, and admired the artwork on the cover. "That is in pretty good condition." He chuckled. "Keep it safe. Who knows, it may be worth something." He stood up and dusted off his jeans. He looked around, just to see if he could find something that caught his eyes, but nothing did. Although, being here made him think of the long road trips he used to take before the world fell apart. He missed those days. Hopefully, if they were lucky they could find a car in the future, or maybe even some horses, and they wouldn't have to spend the entire journey relying being on foot.
-
imsoclueless Senior"Eh, I'd rather read it than sell it," Ellie said with a chuckle, pulling her bag off her back and opening it. She tucked the comic into her bag before putting it back on, zipping it up. "You find anything good?" She asked, walking back over to Joel.
-
Joel shook his head, and made his way outside the camper. "Nothing I could use." He said, looking at the highway stretching out before them. He adjusted the backpack on his shoulders and walked forward. He wanted to make it to the pit-stop they had to make before night-fall.

As the sun started to set, he could make out the silhouette of the building in the distance. It used to be an old Mom and Pop gas station. You could faintly make out the signage that hadn't been bleached by the sun. The building was now covered in ivy and kudzu. Joel could picture about a year or two now the building would be absolutely covered in the greenery. As he and Ellie approached the door, he looked at her. "The building should be cleared, but still be careful." He stated, opening the door and heading inside. -
imsoclueless SeniorEllie nodded, following close behind Joel.
(ahh braindead, sorry ^^') -
(I am so sorry! I disappeared ðŸ˜)
As Joel walked inside, everything pretty much looked the same. The only difference was the layer of dust that seemed to settle on everything. He walked to the back of the little shop, and opened a door. "Nice to see its not been discovered." He said, as he looked at enough supplies to keep them covered until God knew when. There was food, and ammunition. Even bottles of water. "We'll stock up here, and stay the night." -
imsoclueless Senior(totally fine, dw abt it!)
"Gotcha," Ellie replied as she grabbed a few bottles of water, opening one to drink from while stuffing the rest in her bag. "In the mean time, I'm gonna check out the comic I found," she said with a chuckle, digging through her bag for a moment before pulling out the comic. -
"Sounds good." Joel said with a chuckle. He took his backpack off and opened it. It looked bare, now that most of the ammunition was gone. He stocked up with about 4 bottles of water, and several boxes of ammunition. He also took a couple of cans of food, and put it beside the bottles of water in his back. He zipped it up, and sat it to the side next to a wall. "I'll be back, I'm going to check on something." He looked at Ellie, making his way out of the room. "If you need anything at all, just yell. I shouldn't be gone long. Five minutes tops"
-
imsoclueless Senior"Got it, got it," Ellie replied with a chuckle, nodding. "Relax, old timer, I can handle things by myself." She looked back at Joel with a smirk. "But sure, I'll holler if I need anything. Y'know, just to appease you~" She giggled, turning and going back to searching the room. She'd search every square inch until she found something interesting.
-
Joel shook his head, and left the room. He went back to the front of the store, but there was another side room that him and Ellie didn't get to when they entered. Joel hadn't been here in forever, but since everything was still the same he expected this room to be untouched as well. There were some old comic books that he assumed someone had left a while ago. He picked them up and blew the dust off of them. He doubted he or Ellie would be able to carry all of them, but it would at least give her something to read while they stayed the night here. As he held the comic books in his arms, he made his way back to the stock room they had been in. He coughed slightly to let Ellie know he was back. "Thought you might want these." He said, showing her the stash of comic books he had found.
-
imsoclueless SeniorEllie looked over and beamed, scrambling over and nabbing the comic books. "Hell yes, b----, I want these!" She smiled and read over the covers, chuckling. "Damn, you sure know how to hook up a gal, don't 'cha~" She sighed and shook her head with a smile as she walked over to her bag, opening it and putting the comics inside.
