Mildred took another crayfish. 'No thanks,' she said, cutting into the meat.

"suit yourself then." Jack said before ringing the Bell. The main course was similarly decadent. It was ham covered in pineapple and cherry that seemed to glow. It smelled like cinnamon and paprika. There were smooth mashed potatoes, brown gravy and a bowl full of corn on the cob. There was also cranberry sauce

Mildred finished off her crayfish and looked at the main course, her mouth watering just from the smell.

Wilhelm cut into the ham and the smell became stronger. He put a slice on Jack's plate, then Mildred's. He played each of the dishes

Mildred watched him, resting her chin on the palm of her hand.

Jack started eating the corn on the cob in a very clumsy manner as his fangs were a bit too big to get a good bite. He was alternating between sides of his mouth.

Mildred tried to stop herself from laughing and began to eat too.

After much difficulty he got to the center of the corn. He ended up having to scrape the kernels off with a knife.

Mildred glanced up at him every once in a while. ‘You’ve, er, got a kernel in your teeth.’

"i apologize. It is.... A little difficult to eat corn with fangs. Sometimes I'm convinced Wilhelm makes it like this to bully me" Jack said.

Mildred chuckled. ‘It’s okay,’ she said. ‘Funny, though.’

"they all laugh at my pain." Jack said dramatically dipping his head back and putting a hand over his eyes.

Mildred laughed, continuing to eat. ‘Drama king,’ she mumbled,

"drama prince thank you very much." Jack said as he picked up a spoon to tackle the mashed potatoes.

‘Fine, drama acting king,’ Mildred teased, spooning some mashed potato into her mouth. ‘Ooh, I’ve got it, drama-king-but-not-really-a-king!’
