"yes. Vampires and similar undead don't have the resources to run their own booths unless they're from outside of the undead city. We don't need much so we don't have much but we nobles have all sorts of treats and trinkets to give for festivals. My booth would feature a fun but challenging game where the citizens try to find a sugar apple in a tub of water dyed green. To up the amp they have different levels of challenges to take on for the ultimate prize, which is apparently a week at the palace. Alexander and Wilhelm both recommended it as the ultimate prize back when I was planning my booth." Jack prattled on

‘That’s cool! Kind of like that bob for apples game we have back in the human cities,’ Mildred said, not minding his rambling. ‘I did it once. I hated it. I think they had something other in that barrel other than apples and water.’ She laughed quietly.
-
"it's precisely like that. With the added difficulty of low visibility for the apples. The visibility decreases with each level. At the end one has to get all of the sugar apples in the water blindfolded." Jack said.
-
‘That sounds impossible. Albert shoved my head into the barrel, though, so I suppose I wasn’t a fair tester,’ Mildred said with a laugh. ‘Are balls like that? I’d imagine they’d be formal events.’
-
"well, the ball will have mainly only treats, but we should have some games lined up. No doubt the nobles and launders have been imagining great book themed games for the party. They love having fun. Coincidentally for both of them it's due to an excess of free time." Jack said
-
‘Wouldn’t they be busy with running the kingdom or something?’ Mildred asked. She finished off her candy apple and set it down, leaving the core on the stick. ‘It sounds fun, though!’
-
"I run the kingdom. Technically they help but truly everything falls on my shoulders. If there was truly problems it would be my job to fix them. Perhaps that's why I'm so bored all the time." Jack said
-
‘You’re bored all the time? Why don’t you go outside every once in a while and have some fun?’ Mildred asked, resting her chin on the palm of her hands. ‘Maybe if you spend a while in front of the window with my necklace you can get a tan,’ she added in a teasing voice. ‘But seriously, your town can’t be THAT boring.’
-
"well, the people usually entertain themselves with jobs and all hobbies so we don't have places for entertainment. We undead are hard pressed to actually writing things down so very few write. Unless a job requires them to be outside they don't leave so there is no real way to see the city's populace. Besides that if any citizen saw me they'd be hard pressed to stick around. They think I am there to get them in trouble." Jack said.
-
‘Maybe you need to make a few more appearances, then. I’ve lived among regular people, and humans want nothing more than to see their ruler in person and have him shake their hand or something. It’s probably different with vampires, though,’ Mildred said, shrugging. ‘You don’t have theatres and stuff like that? No cinema, golf, annual sports..?’
-
"what's a cinema? Does it have to do with cinnamon, wait how is one entertained by cinnamon? In any case while my people enjoy the ruling of my family they get worried when I visit the town." Jack said
-
‘A cinema doesn’t have anything to do with cinnamon, no,’ Mildred said with a laugh. ‘There’s this big white sheet-thing and a movie is projected onto it, and people pay to watch the movie. And that makes sense, I suppose.’
-
"I don't think I've ever seen a movie." Jack said. He'd read about them plenty but he'd never seen one. Vampires didn't even have cameras.
-
‘You’ve never seen a movie?’ Mildred questioned, staring at him in disbelief.
-
"yes. It's quite difficult to import those things to my kingdom. Especially because of our time restrictions and isolation." Jack said
