‘Yeah, they ar- Hey, that’s not an answer!’ Mildred complained.

"I only occasionally cuddle stuffed rabbits!" Jack shouted. He then realized that the entire kitchen staff might have heard him and proceeded to hide his face on the table.

Mildred blinked, leaning forward to try and look at his face to make sure he was okay. 'Er, I was only teasing,' she said quietly, rubbing the back of her neck. 'It's completely okay if you to cuddle stuffed rabbits..'

"it's a little embarrassing at 2000 years old." Jack said. He never had to actively admit to keeping a stuffed rabbit to cuddle and he never admitted that he named sir fluffybuns until today.

‘Yeah, I can imagine,’ Mildred said, leaning back in her seat. ‘Sorry for, er, teasing you about it.’

"it's fine." Jack said as he lifted his head off of the table. He didn't really see a point in being too mad about sir fluffybuns. Worst case scenario is that someone throws away the stuffed rabbit.

Mildred smiled and leaned back in her chair. ‘Good,’ she said. K

"I think I'm quite finished with eating. Are you still hungry?" Jack asked. He was looking forward to going to sleep at this point.

'No, I'm quite full,' Mildred said, standing up and smoothing down her skirt.

"lovely. I think I'm going to turn in early today." Jack said as he rang the bell. He picked up the sealed pitcher and a goblet.

‘Fair enough,’ Mildred said, stretching her arms. ‘Me too.’

Jack walked out of the door and swore he heard a creaking floorboard. That stopped him in thought.

Mildred used the same door to get to her own room. She nearly bumped into Jack when he stopped. ‘What is it?’

"I heard something strange." Jack said before the sound went off again. "It seems I've been found." Rang out a very familiar voice.

Mildred flinched. She looked around for the source of the voice, not immediately recognising it, but when she did she mumbled, ‘s---,’ under her breath.
