Nikolai shrugged. “Boring, but not too bad.” He said, smiling.

Natsuki smiled and finished off her toastie, glancing up at Nik who she noticed hadn't eaten anything.

Nikolai noticed Natsuki looking at him in concern. “What is it?” He asked softly.

Natsuki gestured to his lunchbox, hoping he'd packed at least an apple to eat.

Nikolai shook his head slowly, putting the lunch back in his backpack. He didn’t know why he took it out anyway, he knew he didn’t pack anything.

Natsuki grabbed her own apple and gave it to Nik, knowing it wouldn't be enough but that it was better than nothing.

“No, you don’t have to give me your food.” Nikolai said, denying the Apple. He’d already eaten enough food from her before.

Natsuki shook her head and gave him back her apple, refusing to take it back. She bit into her crusts and gave Nik a stubborn look, showing she wouldn't take it.

Nikolai couldn’t help but smile at how stubborn Natsuki was being. “Fine.” He said reluctantly, secretly glad, grabbing the apple.

Natsuki smiled and finished her food, leaning her head on Nik's shoulder. She fiddled with her hands, waiting for either Nik to say something or for the bell to ring.

“So what do you wanna do after school?” Nikolai asked. “And what do you wanna do over the weekend?”

Natsuki shrugged. She figured she'd be happy with whatever Nik chose, knowing she wouldn't be able to think of anything.

Nikolai noticed the same bully approach them, and he grit his teeth.
(Drammaaaaa) -
Natsuki followed his gaze to the bully and immediately looked away. She'd had enough of him and didn't want to have to deal with him again.

“What do you want?” Nik asked, glaring at the bully.
“I told you I wouldn’t leave her alone until she admit the truth. She’s. Mine.”
