The bully raised his eyebrows. He hadn't noticed Nat yet, so he thought this statement to be random.
'To get to school,' he responded. After a pause, he narrowed his eyes at Nik. 'Hey, you're that girl's friend, aren't you? The one you always protect?' -
“Yeah, why?” Nikolai asked sharply. “What does that have to do with anything?”

The bully smirked. 'Because she's mine,' he said, seeming to be thoroughly enjoying this. He leaned in his seat, interested to see how Nik would respond to this.

Nikolai’s face flushed in anger. “She’s not anyones.” He said, and the bully just laughed.
“Oh, it’s honestly sad that you believe that.” He said, grinning, and Nikolai clenched his fist In anger. -
Nat noticed Nik speaking and so she turned around in her seat, seeing the bully. She gritted her teeth and put her hand on Nik's shoulder, trying to calm him down.

Nikolai calmed down slightly, and the bully flashed an unholy grin.
“Oh, she’s here!” He said, sounding like he was enjoying the chaos. -
Natsuki glared at him before turning around in her seat, taking a shaky breath. She slipped her hand into Nik's, mostly for her own comfort.

Nikolai squeezed Natsuki’s hand gently, glaring at the bully.
“Will you just leave her alone?” Nikolai snapped.
“I will.” He said, not moving an inch. “The second she admits she’s mine.” -
Natsuki shook her head, knowing she would never say anything of the sort.
'Fine then,' the boy said, folding his arms with a smug look. 'I won't leave her alone.' -
Nikolai glared at him.
“You little creep.” He said, and the bully just laughed.
“It’s not my fault she won’t admit the truth.” He said, smirking. -
Natsuki tried not to get too agitated, knowing she didn't do well with anger. She took a shaky breath and tried not to listen to the bully, which didn't work.

The bus finally got to the school, and Nikolai walked out of the bus, still holding on to Natsuki’s hand, making sure the bully didn’t get to close to her.

They walked out of the bus and the bully followed them, smirking. Natsuki stayed close to Nik as they walked into the school grounds.

“Seriously, go away.” Nikolai said, trying to sound intimidating, but it didn’t affect the bully. If anything, it provoked him even more.

'No,' the bully said, an evil glint in his eye. 'I reckon I have the same class as her, anyway.'
Natsuki gritted her teeth and let out a shaky sigh, both in fear and irritation.
