Natsuki let out an exasperated sigh. She looked back up at Chase, glaring.
'Say it,' he said. -
“Cut it out.” Nik said, narrowing his eyes at the guy. “Leave her alone.”

Chase tilted his head in amusement. 'No,' he said, 'Not until she admits it.'
Natsuki shook her head in response. -
“She won’t admit it.” Nikolai said. “So leave her alone.”
The bully sneered. “How about NO.” He snapped. “She will admit it. Eventually.” -
Natsuki shook her head again, much to the dismay of Chase. He sat down with the rest of his friends two tables away from them, a look of irritation on his face.

Nik let out a sigh of relief. “He’s gone.” He said softly, holding Nats hand.

Nat gave a weak smile and squeezed his hand softly, exhaling shakily.

Nikolai smiled, looking at Nat.
“So anyways…. What do you wanna talk about?” He asked. -
Natsuki shrugged, shoulders relaxing a little.

Nikolai tried thinking of something to say.
“Um, what’s your favorite color?” He asked, grimacing at how cringy the question was. -
Natsuki chuckled a little at the random question. She pulled out her phone and pointed to the case, which was white.

Nik grinned. “Nice, mine is probably blue or silver.”

Natsuki nodded with a smile. She tried to think of something to do or say, so she wrote on her phone, 'Do you want to continue learning ASL?'

Nik nodded. “That’d be awesome! What phrases do you wanna teach me?”
