Natsuki glanced around, soccer ball and book in hand. She didn't notice any foster agents or weirdos, so she continued walking.

They both walked until they finally got to Nikolai’s house, and by then the sun was just starting to set. He opened the door, letting Nat in.

Natsuki glanced around his house but his parents weren't in the kitchen, so she made a hasty run to Nik's room.

Nikolai walked into his room, sitting down on his bed and setting his backpack down on the floor.

Nat sat down next to his, setting her findings on the ground and emptying her pockets, carefully putting them on the carpet. She kept the necklaces in her hands and turned them around in her fingers.

Nikolai looked at all the stuff Natsuki decided to keep. “Those necklaces are super cool.” He said, looking at the heirlooms that were in her hands.

Natsuki nodded, now fiddling with the charms, taking the green out of the red and back in repeatedly.

Nikolai laid down on the right side of his bed, making sure he didn’t touch any of the stuff Natsuki set down on the bed.

Natsuki lay down next to him, necklaces still in hand.

Nikolai didn’t know when he did, but at some point he fell asleep.

After a few minutes, Nat closed her eyes and eventually fell asleep.

(Yeah.)
Nikolai woke up, and looked out the window. It was early morning, and he sat up, waiting for Nat to wake up. -
Nat was still asleep, drooling slightly on Nik's pillow.
(This may or may not have happened to me at a sleepover with my friend 😅) -
(Oh my gosh that must’ve been embarrassed…. But hilarious 🤣)
Nikolai gently tried to shake her awake. “Hey sleepy head, it’s time for school.” He said, smiling. -
Natsuki stirred and woke up, opening her eyes slowly. She glanced up at Nik and nodded, rubbing her eyes.
