(Holy crap im a ninja :o
I just got out of the pool and i was about to reply to the other ones and I saw that you just replied to this one cx)
Marco's immediate reaction was to look to Lucas, which worked out because Lucas was looking at him anyways. He blushed, feeling pretty happy that the girls all liked him. "That's good," he hummed. The mother nodded to her daughter, "Yes, sweetie, we're taking home the dog and the fox." -
woah good timing :o I was rereading the circus spamano one too and omfg cute)
Lucas smiled and nodded. Maybe a good home would teach him not to be so afraid of everything. "Alright," the shop owner smiled. "You can head home now, we'll be right behind you with these two and all their supplies." The pet shop had a truck built to accommodate and transport hybrids, with a large cage over the back. Olivia thanked her one last time, taking one of Brynn's hands and one of Kayleigh's and pulling them towards the store. -
Omfg I know right we are the royalty of cute soaps I swear)
Kayleigh walked out with her family, out to their car, waiting for the shop owner and the hybrids. Marco watched them leave, then looked at Lucas. "So we stay with them now? In their house?" He asked, still not entirely sure how being a pet worked. -
true, very true)
Olivia helped Brynn into her car seat before slipping into the driver's seat. Inside, Lucas nodded. "Oh, yes! We'll get to live with them and play with them and they'll feed us and take care of us and it will be perfect!" The hybrid was practically bouncing with excitement as they were led outside. -
(ahem, I don't mean to interrupt, but... Luckyyyy, chat with me in the loungeeee ;-;)
-
Kayleigh got into the passenger side seat, buckling in, while they waited for the hybrids and shop owner to get in the other truck so they could follow. "Oh... That sounds nice," Marco decided, liking the idea of such a simple, catered to life. He thought about the pleasantness of this while he followed the others outside.
-
Brynn chattered happily in the backseat, babbling on about foxes that looked like kitties and cute dogs and having pets that talked. Lucas, while still excited about getting adopted, grew skittish when the cage on the back of the truck was opened. He'd only been driven somewhere once, as a pup, and the bumpy roads hadn't made the experience pleasant. He fell silent, his ears flattening and his tail twitching nervously as he clambered in.
-
Kayleigh giggled and responded positively to everything her daughter said, loving how excited she was about their new pets, and feeling glad that they'd gotten them both. For Marco, it would be his first time ever in a car, and he didn't know what to expect. He climbed in behind Lucas, and saw that he was nervous, and that made him nervous too. "Are cars bad? I've never been in one."
-
Olivia watched the cage being locked shut and the man climb into the truck before starting the car. Lucas barely held back a whimper, instinctively grabbing Marco's hand. "T-They're l-loud," he stammered. He hated knowing that he was making Marco nervous, but the one thing he hated was loud noises, especially car engines and thunder.
-
Marco was quickly deciding that if Lucas was scared of cars, then he was definitely scared of cars too, because Lucas knew way more than him about the world. That, and he knew that Lucas had been helping him for the past few days when he was scared, so it was only kind that Marco should do the same. He held his hand tightly, not straying from his side.
-
Lucas's heart pounded when the truck engine roared to life, lurching forward. He squeezed his eyes shut, moving back to sit huddled in the corner of the cage, ears pressed flat back. He held Marco's hand tightly, and silently cursed himself for being so afraid. Marco had lost his home, and his family, and Lucas was more upset than him over a car ride. He took a deep breath and slowly opened his eyes. He parted his arms, offering (or maybe begging for) a hug. At least that way they could both be comforted.
-
(Sorry if I don't reply a lot, my phone fell in the pool and it's working off and on.)
Marco was shivering, wondering what he was supposed to do, if Lucas was just as scared as he was. In fact, he was just about to ask for a hug when Lucas happened to offer it, so he gratefully collapsed into the dog hybrid's embrace. "I-I don't like the car," he mumbled, hugging Lucas tightly. It was bouncy, and rough, and rather scary. -
it's fine! ^^ hope it's not broken too badly or anything.
Lucas wrapped his arms tightly around Marco's waist, nuzzling into his hair and closing his eyes. "I-It's okay, cars are loud but as long as you're in them they can't hurt you." There was a particularly large bump and the truck lurched. Lucas gasped and held Marco tighter. "It's okay," he whispered, taking a shaky breath. -
(Eh it just kind of glitches a lot so its hard to do stuff :P But I should get a new one soon.)
Marco was glad that Lucas was holding his tight, or else he'd be sent off with any of the bigger bumps. "Okay," Marco murmured, still clinging to Lucas. He couldn't wait until the ride would be over, and he'd be on sturdy ground again. -
aw, that sounds annoying D: sorry.. what kinda phone do you have?
Another car drove past, it's engine roaring, and Lucas squeezed his eyes shut again, whining. "I-It's so loud," he gasped, holding Marco tight. He hated all the noise, it hurt his ears and his head and the bad-smelling gases pouring out of the truck made his head spin unpleasantly. He whimpered softly, breathing apologies to Marco.
