Layleigh blinked at her wife's statement, then hummed. "I guess that explains things a little... Oh, do you think we should... Should we be letting them sleep in the same bed?" She whispered back, suddenly aware of what the two apparent love birds might get into. Marco's ears seemed to be getting in the way of the sash staying straight, but he let Brynn figure it out. Once she'd finished, he was feeling very sparkly, and rather pink.
-
Olivia bit her lip thoughtfully. "Hm...I think it will be fine. The fox is really shy, and Lucas seems more like a little kid, so I think it'll be fine. Besides," she grinned mischievously. "She's never caught us before."
-
Kayleigh rolled her eyes, smacking Olivia's arm playfully. "Well, let's hope it stays that way. The odds might be against us if there are two active bedrooms, though. Someone's going to get caught."
-
"Hmm," Olivia hummed thoughtfully. "Do they go into heat? Do hybrids do that? We could send them to a kennel for that week or something, besides that they should be fine I think. We'll be careful." Lucas was still giggling, letting Brynn drape a string of shiny beads around his neck.
-
Kayleigh shrugged, though she wasn't fond of the idea of sending them to a kennel if they did go in heat. "We'll google it later," she suggested. Marco was watching Lucas and Brynn, while still eating his sandwich. He hardly moved his head much, except to chew, because he was trying to keep the sash on.
-
Olivia nodded, placing her hand atop Kayleigh's with a soft smile. "We'll figure something out, I'm sure it'll be okay for a night or two." Lucas finished his lunch and watched Marco with a smile. He was being cute, apparently taking his job as 'queen fox' very seriously.
-
Kayleigh returned the smile. "Yeah, it'll be fine," she sighed, but she wasn't entirely sure. Everything about having two hybrids seemed stressful, even if some aspects of it were fun. While Marco was taking his last bite of his sandwich, he met eyes with Lucas. Involuntarily, his ears moved, and with it his sash, but he hands shot up to fix it quickly.
-
Lucas giggled, reaching out to help adjust the sash and keep it on. Olivia watched her wife closely, frowning slighty. "Hey, we'll work it out, okay? It'll be okay, we can always put one in the guest room."
-
Marco was satisfied once it was straightened again, smiling- he kind of liked the pink and sparkly. Kayleigh nodded, reaching her arm around her wife, resting it on the back of her chair. "That'll work. Sorry, I just wasn't mentally prepared for two of them."
-
Olivia leaned into her side, looking apologetic. "I know, I'm sorry, I just couldn't pull them apart when I saw them..." Brynn had finished eating, and was busy throwing more sashes at the hybrids.
-
Kayleigh shook her head, kissing the side of her wife's hair. "It's fine, I'll adjust." Marco was starting to really love all of the attention, and all of the sparkling fabric he was being decorated with. He had them over his shoulders and hair, and his eyes were practically sparkling with fondness.
-
"If it gets too hard let me know, I don't want pets if they'll just upset you.." She returned the kiss with a small sigh. Lucas and Brynn were both laughing gleefully, admiring Marco's flashy new attire.
-
"Alright," Kayleigh said, but she felt sure of herself that she would be able to get used to it. "I love yooou," she said, smiling at her wife. Marco blushed when they laughed at him, but he liked his sparkles too much to take them off. "Whaat?" He whined, pouting.
-
Olivia giggled happily. "I love you too, sweetheart." She hummed happily. Lucas shook his head. "Nothing, you look great. Very sparkly."
-
Kayleigh giggled, smiling at Olivia. She looked over at the hybrids and her daughter, and said, "Oliviaaa, I think it's naptime for Brynn, don't you?" She said. Brynn was still young enough that if she didn't take an afternoon nap, she'd be terrible by bedtime. Marco was satisfied to hear that Lucas like his sashes, but his ears flattened when he heard Kayleigh say it was time for Brynn to take a nap.
