Brynn whined and Olivia nodded and grinned. "That's right, and girls who don't take naps don't get dessert." Brynn gasped. "Nooo, Mommy! I'll take a nap!" Lucas watched curiously, ears pricked.

Marco watched as Kayleigh smiled and stood up, walking to Brynn and picking her up. "Say goodnight to Lucas and Marco," she told the little girl. Marco prompted it first, before Brynn could say it, "Goodnight, Brynn," he said, waving bye to her.

Lucas waved. "Good night!" Brynn grinned and waved her own clumsy little kid version of a wave. "Goodnight Doggy and Queen Fox!" She called. Lucas yawned softly. "I could use a nap too, I think." he murmured.

Kayleigh carried Brynn off to her bedroom, bouncing her on her hip. When Marco looked back at Lucas, the dog hybrid was yawning, and he ended up yawning too. "Yeah, me too," he decided. He gently took all of his sparkly coverings off, and set them on the table, but left his tiara on.

"You two can go to sleep if you're tired." Olivia offered. This would also be a good opportunity to see what the hybrids would do alone in the bedroom. Lucas nodded, setting the crown and beads down beside Marco's sashes. "Okay, thanks, we'll be upstairs then," he replied, standing up. "Oh, and tell Kayleigh that lunch was great!" Olivia smiled and nodded. "I will."

Marco stood up along with Lucas, reaching out to grab his hand and hold it tight. He felt full and safe, knowing there was food for him here and a good home, and it was the first tome he'd felt this way. His tail swished, as he started walking to their room.

Lucas led Marco back up the stairs and into the room Olivia had shown them earlier. He lifted up the covers and slid into the bed, sighing happily. "Ohh, it's so soft! Come here Marco!"

Marco obliged, after letting Lucas try it out first, and crawled into the bed, under the covers. It was so comfortable, and when he laid on his back with his head on one of the pillows, it was Heaven on his back. "Sooo comfy," he hummed, smiling.

"And to think that sleeping in a cage for so long made me feel lucky," he hummed, hugging Marco close and giggling happily. "I love it here. It's so nice, and I get to be with you." he smiled gently.

Marco laughed a little too, reaching his arms around Lucas to hug him. "I know, I love it too. We're so lucky," he breathed, feeling at home in Lucas' embrace.

Lucas looked at him curiously. "Hey, Marco, can we kiss? That's what mates do, isn't it? I've seen them kiss and cuddle, and we've got the cuddling down, so..." He grinned softly.

Marco blushed, and was quietly embarrassed at the question for a moment. But he ended up nodding, and scooted up so he was nose-to-nose with Lucas. "I... I don't know how?"

"I'll show you," Lucas offered with a smile, his arms snaking around the smaller hybrid's waist. "It's fun, I promise," he nuzzled his nose playfully.

Marco smiled shyly at the rubbing of their noses together, his ears twitching. "Okay," he giggled, wrinkling his nose up. "But you'd better be good at it, because I won't be."

Lucas smiled and nodded. "I'll do my best," he murmered, before inching closer and gently pressing their lips together. He moved slowly at first, not wanting to startle Marco or scare him.
