s--- i did NOT realize Ben Braver is the name of a politician, sorry in case anyone tried to look that up (i doubt it but still)
the graphic novel is called The Super Life of Ben Braver lol -
it looks really childish but the books get surprisingly deep as you keep reading. It's a really easy read and reading it was a core memory for 5th grade me lol
it's about a boy who gets accepted into a superhero school despite the fact that he has no powers -
and Penny Plum is in it and she's my absolute FAVORITE, her trauma after the second book was INSANITY

her development during the stories is peak character building. absolutely loved it

i love the storytelling of TADC with Zooble and Caine. Ik the therapy session is played for laughs, but if you think about it, it makes a lot of sense
Zoobles talking about body dysmorphia/dysphoria, which is a common experience for trans people, such as themselves. They're not explicitly stated as nonbinary, (according to Glitch, Zooble uses any pronouns and "isn't quite sure what they are") but it's pretty safe to assume they're somewhere on the nonbinary spectrum (especially since genderfluid is in the nonbinary umbrella)
Meanwhile, Caine is literally binary code. He's not unable to understand it bc he's a selfish jerk, he's unable to understand it because his binary ones and zeros can't comprehend the human struggle of not fitting the binary. it's such good storytelling -
