Me and all the super gifted smarty pants kids in AP Geo are having a competition of who's going to get the highest score
it's all in good fun and we really don't care as long as we all pass, it's just some competitive motivation to do well -
my mom said she'll let me go shopping for renfair clothes as one of my birthday gifts lets goooo

I'm reading Fahrenheit 451 for English (my teacher assigned it, I didn't get to choose) and it is a STRUGGLE
idk why i dont like it since it's pretty well recognized as a classic and a work of art, but I'm just not connecting with it. I think maybe if it were written by another author I'd be able to enjoy it, but the book is just a long drawn out preach about how technology is making our brains mush through a bunch of loooong metaphors and flavortext, and I'm just not enjoying it. Who knows though, maybe I'll have a change of heart -
kinda funny how my English teacher assigned a book that's banned statewide. Respect for her, but she's sooooo getting fired within the next 5 years (she's assigned 3 banned books for the honors kids to read so far: Night by Ellie Wiesel, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, and this one)

LOL we read that book earlier this year in english, it’s super boring in the beginning but it gets really good around the second part :D just wait for the hound he’s cool

lol good to know, thanks. I'm only on the 3rd chapter so maybe I'm being too harsh, his style of writing just isn't clicking for me atm
