Thread Topic: Bringing this plot back.
-
C1 is a dog (or cat) human hybrid, and having not been adopted by a family because of his rambunctious nature, he is staying at an animal shelter until he can find a home. At the shelter, there are many other hybrids, but they are all of the same sort- typical cats or dogs or mice or rabbits.
One night, a different kind of hybrid strolls in, looking rough and mussed up like he'd come straight from the woods. A fox hybrid, C2, had been seperated from his brother, and decided to go to an animal shelter in the town to find refuge.
((I kinda want C2? If you're interested, just tell me. But only experienced soapers who can give grammatically correct and thought-out replies. -
I would if you would like me to.
-
Sure, if you're cool with the mxm plot.
-
Then no. I probably cant do that.
-
Oh, alright, that's okay.
-
Sorry about that. Its just every time I really like the plot and its an mxm soap, people just shoo me off because of it. But still Im sorry I cant.
-
I will, if you're okay with doing two soaps at once :3
-
Sure, Lucky :3 And you're okay with C1?
-
Yeah! Just gimme a sec to make a charrie

I'll start, just a moment~
-
The animal shelter was a place for city hybrid orphans, Marco was always told. It wasn't for those, like him, who came from the woods, who were meant to be tough and never pets. He should never, ever turn to the humans for help, because they were the ones who took away mommy and daddy in the first place. The animal shelters housed dog hybrids, and cat hybrids, even the mice and rabbit hybrids, all meant to one day live as some human's little play pal. But Marco's brother had always told him that going to the animal shelter was for those sissy city hybrids, not fox hybrids like them. They were forest hybrids, and they didn't need the help of any humans to get around. For years, Marco and his brother lived together in a cave in the forest, wearing clothes and shoes that they stole from campers and eating whatever they could get their hands on. And until they were both well into their teenage years, it worked out fine.
It was a nice, sunny morning when they woke up to gunshots outside. They knew the sound- it wasn't hunters, it was hybrid control, probably looking for the two pesky fox hybrids that'd been stealing from campers all those years. Almost immediately, the two brothers got seperated- they both ran different ways, and after hours and hours of hiding and running, Marco knew he was entirely seperated from his brother.
The next evening, after sleeping and hiding behind a boulder all day, he wandered off until he reached the nearest human town. During the day, he knew it was very busy, always full of people and pets and those loud car things. But at night, it was quiet, and Marco could sneak around. It took him a while, but he managed to find it- a building that had a sign, with human words, but through the windows he saw tens of hybrids all curled up and comfortable inside.
It was the last thing he wanted to do, but finding the door locked, he curled up on the steps and decided to wait until morning. -
"I wanted one with energy, but maybe a younger hybrid..." "He just won't calm down, will he?" "He's awfully timid for such a hyper thing, isn't he?" These words constantly rained down on Lucas from the people who walked by his cage. He was too energetic, they all said. Too much energy for a hybrid who wasn't a puppy anymore. Lucas desperately wanted a home, wanted to have people to love him and play with him, but it had been years, and not one family had considered adopting the black-furred dog hybrid. Lucas remained optimistic, but he often wondered why he was so unwanted.
He started watching the other hybrids, acting cute whenever someone passed his cage, doing funny tricks or wagging his tail, but nothing seemed to work. It was a good thing life at the shelter was decent. Food and a cage big enough for him, as well as a comfortable place to sleep. Which is what he was doing now, curled up, his ears flat and tail curved around to hug his body. -
As soon as the sun started up over the horizon of buildings, Marcus sat up. He stretched, yawned, and reached up to see if the door was still-- locked. It didn't budge. Nervously, because he knew the humans would be out and about the streets very soon, he stood up and jiggled the doorknob, seeing if maybe someone inside would open it if he got their attention.
For anyone who actually ran on time, it was still only 6 in the morning, and the shelter wasn't open to the public until eight. But Marcus ran on the sun, and the sun was up, so he expected this door to be magically open.
