"You know, we could always get two..." She mused, giving her companion a somewhat-pleading smile. Lucas smiled at that, his ears perking up. He kept one arm around Marco, trying to ease his anxiousness as he listened to the women talk.
-
Marco's eyes widened a little, realizing that already they may have found a home together. Together, as in both of them, as in staying with Lucas. His ears hopped up just like Lucas', listening in as the other woman replied. "Well... I don't know, that twice as much as we were thinking of paying, and food and everything." She chewed her lip, glancing repeatedly between the other woman and the hybrids.
-
Lucas wanted desperately to speak up then. To tell the woman he wouldn't eat much, he wouldn't eat at all if it meant getting a home and staying with Lucas. A little whine left his lips and he pulled Marco a little closer. The red haired woman mirrored her partner, biting her lip and glancing back at the two hybrids. "They've been inseparable since the fox got here a few days ago." The shop owner's wife's voice sounded from behind the customers. "They really don't need much taking care of, either."
-
The blue haired one looked back at the shop owner, nodding slowly. "So it's pretty both or neither. Okay, uhm..." She considered it over and over in her head, leaning back and forth on her heels. "Okay, let's think," she stated, looking at her partner again. "We've only got one extra room, but they could share? I'm worried about price here, that's definitely it."
-
*pretty much
-
The woman's eyes softened. "If it's price you're worried about, then I can help you there. The dog's been here for quite some time, and if you're willing to take then both, I'd be more than happy to give you enough food to last them both for a while." The red haired woman smiled. "Really? That's very sweet of you," She glanced at the woman beside her curiously.
-
That definitely swayed her, as her tilting slowed. "... I think that would work," she agreed, nodding to her red haired companion. "Is it alright if we meet them, first?" She asked. It hadn't occurred at all to Marco that being brought into a human home would involve the humans until just then, when it kind of hit him that they'd want him to be nice. Suddenly he turned back into nuzzling into Lucas, grabbing the back of his shirt with his fingers. "I changed my mind, Licas, I'm scared, I don't want to," he whispered, trying to be discreet.
-
(Oh for f---s sake
Licas tho) -
(Hey, I hope you're doing okay.. You can talk with me if you ever need to.)
-
I'm so sorryyyyyyy I haven't been on, my phone was broken...and thank you very much ^^)
The red-haired woman nodded. "Oh, yes, can we?" The owner nodded and unlocked the cage. Lucas smiled and stood up out of the cage, pulling Marco with him. "It'll be okay." He whispered back. "I'll be with you the whole time." -
(Tis fine xD
Should I be the child or would you like to be~? I'm not exceptionally good with children, so...)
Marco moved around Lucas, lingering behind him and connected to the dog hybrid by only one hand. His tail was pressed closely to his leg, to keep it out of reach from any curious kid's hands. "Okay..."
The blue-haired lady took the first step forward, taking her hand away from her partner to reach it out to the dog hybrid. "Hi there, my name is Kayleigh, but just call me Kiwi. What's your name?" -
You can if you want, but I'll do it if you'd rather not :3)
Lucas smiled shyly at Kaleigh and gave Marco's hand an encouraging squeeze. "I'm Lucas." He piped. "And this is Marco. It's nice to meet you." He grinned brightly and his tail began to wag. The red-haired woman stepped forward next to her wife (are they married?) and smiled at Marco, hoping to coax him out of his anxiousness. "I'm Olivia," She greeted cheerfully. -
(I wouldn't be very good at it .3.
And sure, they'll be married~)
Kayleigh smiled, greeting them both with a smile. "Hi Lucas, hi Marco. It's nice to meet you as well." She felt a little more comfortable with the idea of welcoming two new family members into their home.
Marco looked back at Kayleigh, returning her hello with a tight-lipped smile. Then, Olivia was introducing herself, so he smiled to her as well. "Hi," he said, looking at her with an air of caution. -
I'll do it then :3)
Olivia giggled and tilted her head, her fire-colored curls bouncing about her face. "You don't have to be so shy, I don't bite." Lucas laughed softly too, starting to feel a bit more comfortable. From behind Kaleigh's legs, a little head popped out, followed by the tiny body of a little girl. She had a shock of curly blond hair and big brown doe eyes. She glanced timidly at Marco. "...kitty?" -
Marco looked down a moment, blushing at having seemed too timid. He looked at the little girl, opening his mouth to correct her. But the words got stuck in his throat, and in a moment the blue haired mother was swopping her daughter up to carry her on her hip. "No, sweetie, he's a fox," she said. Marco closed his mouth, humming out, "Mhm."
