He hugged her close, biting his lip. "It'll be okay... Everything will work out."

I wish. She thought, knowing it wasn't going to be okay. But she just hugged him back and nodded into his shoulder.

Christopher sighed. "I think I'll go to school with you tomorrow."

Her eyes widened. "But you're ill..." She said.

"It's not so bad yet," he remarked, shrugging. "I might as well spend my Tim doing things I love instead of sitting in my room all day. And I love spending time with you, so it works out perfectly."

"If anything happens, I can handle it." He smiled back at her.

"Okay, fine." She said, hugging him.

He hugged her back. "So.... How long do you think it'll take me to make up a year's worth of work?" Christopher joked.

She shrugged. "I dunno." She said, smiling. "Five?"

He laughed. "Five what? Months, years, decades?"

"Hm..." She pretended to think.

He shook his head, smirking. "Am I that dumb?" He chuckled, his eyes glimmering with contentment.
