He rolled his eyes. "I guess we'll have to see tomorrow, won't we? Do you think the teachers will get on my case for not having done the overdue work?"

"That'll be funny to see." He grinned.

"Very." She agreed.

"I wonder how everyone will react after not seeing me for so long..." He furrowed his brow, thinking. "I guarantee you Veronica will throw a fit." Veronica was the girl who had made fun of Jenifer since second grade.

"Oh yes." She made a face. "Think she would of matured by now.." She muttered.

"So she's still the same brat? Nothing's changed... Not even her hair color?" He shook his head ruefully. "I feel bad for that girl's parents; I really do..."

"You should." Jenifer snickered. "She's an older, more bitchy, more slutty version of what she was before."

Christopher yawned. "So how about that secret stash of candy? Are you up for the ultimate theft?"

A light blush appeared on his face at her use of words referring to him. "Come on," he took her hand and slowly snuck over towards the staircase. "We must be quiet, stealthy, and silent as can be...."
