“You won’t, I promise,” Connor said, chuckling softly. “I’m right here to catch you if you fall, promise.”

“Okay,” Evan said suspiciously, giving Connor a playful look before moving towards the board again and placing his left foot on it.

“I promiseI wouldn’t intentionally put you in harms way, hun,” Connor said, chuckling softly. “Take it slow, then do all the steps in one go- But faster, obviously-“

Evan nodded, sliding his right foot forward and jumping. The board hardly moved, simply starting to roll forward. “I need to do it faster, right?”

“Yeah, a little bit,” Connor said, chuckling softly. “Try riding forwards a little, then try it.”

“Oh, gotcha,” Evan said with a chuckle, nodding. He pushed off a little, rolling forward a bit and doing what he was supposed to a little faster. The front of his shoe caught on the bird and he tripped, falling forward and quickly catching himself on the pavement. “I’m good! I’m fine-“

“s----“ Connor said, quickly rushing over. “You sure you’re good?” He asked, just wanting to make sure he didn’t get hurt.

“Uh, yeah, I’m pretty sure I’ve got all my limbs- unless you’re seeing something Im not,” Evan said with a chuckle, offering his hand to Connor help himself up.

“Just checkin’, you look all good to me,” Connor said with a chuckle, taking Evan’s hand and helping him to his feet. “You wanna try again? Or do you need to see the trick again?”

“No, I’ve got it, I just tripped,” Evan said, chuckling. “But if I trip again, then you show me again-“

“Okay,” Connor replied with a chuckle, nodding and backing up a little.

“Nuh uh, come closer,” Evan said with a chuckle, reaching out a hand as he placed his foot on the board.

“Okay, okay-“ Connor said with a chuckle, moving back to Evan’s side. “You wanna hold my hand or somethin’? All you gotta do is ask~” He teased, smirking playfully.

“Shut up-“ Evan giggled, rolling his eyes and bringing his hand back to his side as he focused on the board again.

Connor chuckled softly, admiring Evan for a moment. “Alright, try again- Show me what you got~”
