Sounds good to me, I don't really got anything else for Octavia to do.))
-
(lol yeah)
Adrienne sat in the library of the school, waiting for Octavia to arrive, -
Octavia was a bit late to the library. She was explaining to her third hour teacher why she didn't return to class. Her teacher understood and forgave her luckily. She also walked in with more than enough copies of homework from the past and present. "Good afternoon Adrienne." Octavia said
-
“Hey- Hi, look, Octavia, I- I’m really sorry if you got in trouble,” Adrienne said, sighing. “I- I really didn’t mean to keep you that long, I- I wasn’t trying to drag you down, too…”
-
"it's fine. My fourth hour has a substitute teacher and you have lots of homework." Octavia said as she set down a pile of papers on the desk.
-
Adrienne stared the the stack and groaned, rubbing their face. “Seriously? This much?? That’s a lot of horses---.”
-
"the teachers say that they'll accept the work even if it's late. Considering some of these assignments are months old I don't think you have to do them all today." Octavia said. Octavia thought about doing all of this homework but it was impractical even for her when she knew all the answers.
-
“Whatever, let’s just get this over with,” Adrienne said with a sigh, grabbing some of the worksheets and starting on them.
-
"you're starting with algebra? That's a bold move. You do know the quadratic formula right?" Octavia asked. Octavia might have been a smart girl but she didn't like math. Octavia was good at it but the way the teacher wanted her to do math was tedious
-
“Yeah, kinda,” Adrienne replied with a shrug, pulling out their laptop with their notes on it. “Figured I’d try and get the hardest s--- done first, then the easy stuff will go by faster.”
-
"it goes by faster if you alternate between the most difficult and most easy. It's like switching from a cup of black coffee to a milkshake." Octavia said. Octavia often studied in a similar way, switching between reading some difficult book like Dante's inferno to trying to learn calculus.
-
“Hm, maybe I’ll have to try that out,” Adrienne replied, nodding as they went to working.
-
Octavia got out a sheet of notebook paper and started double checking Adrienne's work. Octavia finished the worksheet via copying all the questions onto the sheet of notebook paper and solving them. She then double-checked the equations on a graphing calculator she had.
-
Adrienne groaned softly as they stared at the worksheet, only having gotten through one question. “God, these are so annoying…”
