"they probably don't see you as too much of a failure, after all they support your music dreams right? That counts for something." Octavia said. She drew small bottles with angry faces on one corner of her diagram.
-
“That’s true, I guess,” Adrienne said with a shrug, dropping the cigarette to the ground once it was put out. They took a sip of the Redbull, leaning back against the bench.
-
"I'll be sure to get you to a much better passing grade anyways. You'll have perfect C's when I'm done with you. Um, anyways, what's your band called?" Octavia asked. She liked music so she wanted to know.
-
“Hugger Mugger- Came up with it myself~” Adrienne said with a smile, crossing their legs in their seat.
(lol totally not referencing a webtoon ^^’) -
"wow, what genre do you play? I might not look the part but I listen to a wide range of genres. It makes homework much easier." Octavia said. She drew a cigarette box with wings on her diagram.
-
“Kinda just anything- Bit of indie, some rock, a bit of metal, kind of just whatever we’re vibin’ with,” Adrienne replied, looking over at Octavia. They leaned against their side, inspecting their journal.
-
"is it classic rock or alternative rock? Do you have any of your songs on YouTube, or perhaps Spotify?" Octavia asked. She shaded in the wings of the cigarette box. She wasn't the best at drawing but she wasn't the worst.
-
“More alternative,” Adrienne replied, humming softly. “And no Spotify yet, but we do have a Youtube channel where we post rough covers of our music. They’re nothin’ super fancy, but they’re good~”
-
"I'll have to find it sometime. Believe it or not, rock is my favorite genre. It's important to have a YouTube channel when you're working with music, it helps build an audience." Octavia said. She turned the page in her notebook and started writing everything she knew about the history of rock music.
-
“Yeah, it definitely helps a lot, popularity-wise,” Adrienne replied, humming. They rested their head on Octavia’s shoulder for a few moments, watching her write. “I like your art,” they said with a small smile, lifting their head and taking another swig of the Redbull. “We need a cover artist for our band, but none of us are any good at drawing.”
-
"wow um, thanks. I could do cover art for your band if you do your homework in at least one subject." Octavia said, bargaining. She was a little awkward at this point as she now had to process that a pretty person just set their head on Octavia's shoulder and complimented her art.
-
“Ha- you’re a stubborn one, aren’t cha~” Adrienne said with a chuckle, staring at the art. “Hm, maybe I’ll take you up on that offer.”
-
"great, I'd recommend history, it's an easy one. It's usually just a few words from the book. English is also fairly easy because there are fewer questions, but the answers are more abstract." Octavia said. She wrote down the names of famous writers she disliked with small portraits. She started with H.P. Lovecraft.
-
Adrienne nodded, watching Octavia draw. “I wish I could draw,” they said quietly. “I used to draw all the time, but then I just kinda, gave up- Since I was pretty s--- at it, anyways~”
-
"Art takes practice. I know you have a hard time keeping up with things though. Practicing art and doing homework are similar." Octavia noted. She drew a magpie on h.p. Lovecraft's head then wrote down Edgar Allen Poe.
