“I think you’re a great artist,” Adrienne replied with a small smile, turning back to their work.
-
"if only my interview skills were as great as my art. Then I'd be in vocational school learning about ambulances and how to tie tourniquets and such." Octavia said. She colored in the scuba diver
-
“Hm, cool,” Adrienne said with a nod, humming softly to the music playing through their headphones.
-
Octavia started drawing Adrienne. She wanted to preserve the moment on paper. Once she was finished drawing Adrienne she quickly turned the page.
-
Adrienne glanced over and noticed, seeing Octavia quickly turn the page. They frowned but decided not to say anything, figuring they could ask her later. They continued to work, tapping their foot against the floor.
-
Octavia grabbed the math folder and started looking through the unfinished math questions. Most of it was a pain. She then noticed her least favorite equations. The equations with more than 2 variables. They were time consuming to write and time consuming to follow.
-
Adrienne crossed their legs in their chair, finishing off some of the English. “Alright, I think I got a good bit of the English done,” they replied, setting down their pencil.
-
"good, I think you're down to about 70 assignments to go." Octavia said. She gave a small applause. She then brought out her pencil case and took out some stickers.
-
“Wow, that went down fast,” Adrienne said with a chuckle, watching Octavia for a moment.
-
"exactly, now, you may have a sticker." Octavia said laying out several sticker sheets. The stickers were mostly ocean and space themed.
-
Adrienne looked at the sticker sheets, a small smile on their face. They picked up one and pulled off a sticker of the moon, sticking it on their shirt. “Thanks,” they said, watching Octavia for a moment,
-
"no problem." Octavia said, smiling. She kept the stickers as a personal reward for her own hard work but getting nine assignments done was a big achievement for Adrienne so she gave Adrienne one of her stickers.
-
Adrienne stared at the sticker for a moment with a smile before returning to their work, humming softly. “Should I go onto a different subject, or try and do more math?”
-
"maybe you can knock more out if you do some assignments in the other subjects but you'd also be at risk of having a disproportionate amount of math to do without a second task." Octavia said. She packed her sticker pages back into her pencil bag then brought out a small bag of chips.
-
“Mm, true,” Adrienne replied with a nod. “I’ll do more math, then do another subject after,” they said, grabbing the math work again.
