"great. There's just too much math. How many multi variable questions does one person need. I'm going to step out for a moment to eat these. While we can talk in the library it would be far to wrong to eat here." Octavia said.
-
Adrienne nodded, watching Octavia for a moment. “I’ll be in here, then, working,” they replied, going back to their worksheets.
-
"I'll be right back." Octavia remarked as she walked out into the hallway. She then sat down and opened the bag of chips. She ate them all as fast as possible. She then started looking for a recycling bin.
-
Adrienne nodded and went back to writing, occasionally picking up the calculator and typing on it.
-
Octavia eventually found a recycling bin but then found it full of regular trash. Slowly, Octavia started sorting the recycling. She could not have it out of order.
-
Adrienne hummed as they solved the problems, soon coming up on a confusing one. They sighed and looked up, seeing Octavia was still gone. “Guess I’ll wait,” they murmured, going onto the next problem.”
-
Octavia spent a solid 15 minutes sorting trash from recycling and returned to the library with her sleeves covered in various small spills and crumbs.
-
“Woah, what happened to you?” Adrienne asked with a chuckle, watching Octavia come back into the library.
-
"I was fixing the terrible state of the recycling bins at this school. They must think it's a trashcan." Octavia said frustratedly as she sat down.
-
“Was there not a trashcan by the recycling bin?”
-
"there was, but several of the trash items such as banana peels and type 5 plastics were in the recycling. They simply don't go there at all." Octavia said. She started aggressively writing down everything that could not be recycled
-
“Hey, hey- take a deep breath, calm down a little,” Adrienne said, going to rest a hand on Octavia’s shoulder but hesitated, pulling back a bit.
-
"things must be recycled for earth to keep living, but I suppose I might be getting a bit ahead of myself over one loose recycling bin. Sorry." Octavia said. She calmly started writing everything she knew about pollution.
-
“No, it’s totally fine, just- don’t stress yourself out too much, alright?” Adrienne said, watching her write for a moment before going back to their work.
-
"I don't have tantrums over recycling. I have tantrums over small things, so you don't have to worry about me having tantrums again." Octavia mumbled quickly. She didn't want to talk about tantrums but didn't want to scare Adrienne about her freakouts. Octavia hoped they'd forget about her earlier outburst.
