Adrienne gaped, eyes wide and mouth open. “You’re f---ing joking, right? There- There cannot be that assignments to do, right??”

"that's how many I counted. They build up over time. The math teacher assigns homework everyday and everyday there's in class written work for English and history." Octavia said. The looked at the folders filled with homework. There was enough to make a person nauseous.

Adrienne groaned and leaned forward, resting their head against the table. “I’m gonna need a smoke after this, for sure,” they muttered, exhaling. They lifted their head after a few moments, going back to their work.

"understandable, even though I haven't done much I think after this I'll treat myself to a cup of tea and a book about elephant seals." Octavia said. She started drawing an elephant seal version of the borzoi meme.

“Seals are pretty cool,” Adrienne said, nodding as they went on to the next question. “Personally, I think sea lions are cooler, but yeah, they’re chill. Although, I think my favorite animals are foxes.”

"elephant seals are different than most seals. They have long noses. Foxes are okay animals but personally I prefer marine animals." Octavia said. She shaded in the elephant seal and then she decided to start drawing a leopard seal dabbing. It was still funny to her even if it was out of fashion.

“I’m not a huge fan of the ocean, so that’s probably why I prefer foxes. They’re really funny, actually- The noises they can make, hilarious,” Adrienne said with a chuckle, continuing their work.

"I love the ocean. It's so interesting. Did you know that the Mariana trench has one of the biggest squids we know of?" Octavia said. She started to draw an Arctic seal doing the pog face.

“Really? Yeesh, glad I’m afraid of scuba diving, that sounds terrifying.”

"you had the chance to scuba dive?" Octavia asked, looking up from her notebook. Octavia had always wanted to scuba dive but there were several reasons she could not.

“Only once, when my family and I were on vacation one year,” Adrienne replied, glancing over at Octavia and her journal. “I almost had a f---ing heart attack, that’s how scared I was. I do not like the ocean very much.”

"it's very dangerous to offer a scuba diving trip to a person with no experience, lessons, or licence. That was very sketchy." Octavia said.

“I agree, very sketch- And yet my family went ahead and did it,” Adrienne said with a chuckle, watching Octavia draw for a moment. “Seriously though, your art is awesome-“

"thanks. I used to have friends that were really good at art so I drew with them. I never was as good as it as they were but I made decent progress." Octavia said. She drew a small scuba diver with a knife.
