“I get those too,” Adrienne spoke quietly, running a hand through their hair after pulling off their headphones. “Although I think they’re called anxiety attacks. When little things freak you out because it’s not the way you expected or the way you wanted? I get those quite often, but sometimes I’m just good at hiding it.”

"anxiety is a real problem but I don't have anxiety. If I had anxiety my parents would take me out of school and they'd send me to a nature camp." Octavia said she started drawing sequoia trees.

“What’s a nature camp?” Adrienne asked, raising their brows.

"well, according to my older sister the counselors show up at night to drive you there. Once you wake up you pitch your tent then you and the others walk through the woods for 3 hours before heading back to the tents. Then they split you up into groups and the counselors read the Bible verses they think you need to hear and then you have to start a fire if you want to eat the rations they give you and then you go to bed and then more days like that until everyone decides you can function." Octavia said.

“That doesn’t sound very fun,” Adrienne replied, frowning. “When I think of a nature camp, I think of spending time in nature and s---, like hunting for cool rocks, bird watching- that s---.”

"well, the goal of it is to take the demon out of you so you don't have to go to a shrink. It's also why I'm supposed to get angry when someone says I might be mentally challenged. It's all superstitious nonsense." Octavia said. She drew an owl in the Sequoya tree

“Well, that’s dumb as f---- And it’s probably all bulls---,” Adrienne said, rolling their eyes. “Therapists are actually a really great source, though. Like, they genuinely do help you with- well, pretty much anything.”

"it is all bull, my parents have been brainwashed by door to door salesman who all call themselves Jehovah or Mormon or something like that and they hate therapists." Octavia said. She drew a tie and put little pyramids inside

“Yeah, don’t listen to their bulls---, Jehovah’s Witness and Mormons,” Adrienne said, rolling their eyes.

"I'm convinced they're some sort of multi level marketing scheme." Octavia said. She drew a blank face over the tie and tried to make an anagram of Jehovah and Mormon.

“Honestly? Would not be surprised,” Adrienne replied with a chuckle, putting their headphones back on a and going back to their work.

Octavia spent 10 minutes on the anagram before getting frustrated and looking over the papers Adrienne already did. There was a normal amount of mistakes.

Adrienne finished some more worksheets, setting them off to the side.

Octavia started her grading process, in pencil, and large answer explanations would be written on a sheet of notebook paper dog-eared to the original assignment

Adrienne moved onto the history work, answering the questions.
