"English is the global language, and we live in the city of tourists. It's practically required." Theo chuckled.
-
‘Thank god for that. I’d go crazy if I actually had to pay attention in school,’ Hazel said, chuckling.
-
Theo laughed. "We manage. So, what do we want to do?"
-
Hazel shrugged, finishing off her roll.
Max looked at her. ‘What’s Australia like, then?’
‘Warmer. And the bread tastes bad.’ -
"I told you French bread was better." Theo laughed. "C'mon, lets go watch a movie or something."
"It better not be a Marvel movie." Layla muttered. Theo chuckled. Last time he had Layla and Max over, Max insisted on watching all the Avengers movies in a row. -
‘It’s bread, it’s not supposed to taste good!’ Hazel argued. ‘You’re meant to put Vegemite on it or something! I think Lilla brought some, so I’ll force feed it to you.’
-
"Ew, I'll pass." Theo wrinkled his nose.
-
Hazel shrugged. Max chuckled.
-
"C'mon, lets watch a movie." Theo chuckled, walking to the living room.
-
Hazel followed him, smiling. His friends seemed cool enough, which annoyed her. She really wanted his girlfriend to be a jerk. Max followed Hazel, walking very close to her.
-
Layla held Theo's hand as he sat down, grabbing the remote with his free hand. "So, what movie?" He asked, and before Max was about to answer he went: "No Marvel movies."
"Dammit!" -
Hazel noticed the two holding hands, and looked away. She sat down next to Layla and pulled her knees to her chest.
-
Theo noticed Hazel refusing to look at him or Layla. Max sat down next to Hazel. "You doing alright?"
-
'I'm all good,' Hazel said, giving a weak smile.
-
Max raised an eyebrow. "You don't look very fine to me." He said bluntly.
