Theo followed her closely. Hazel's dad narrowed his eyes when they walked out, but didn't say anything.

Hazel walked down to the car, then turned and looked at Theo.

Theo gave a weak smile. "See you soon." He said as though she was just going for a few days.

‘See you,’ Hazel said, forcing a smile back.

Theo gave her a tight hug before letting go. He gave a small wave and stepped away so he wouldn't get run over by the car.

Hazel hugged him back. She reluctantly got into the car. The car drove off, and she turned her head to look in the back window to watch Theo.

Theo saw her looking, smiled, and waved again before walking off.

Hazel gave a weak smile and waved back.

Theo grinned, winking. The car started driving.

Hazel blushed lightly, resting her head on the back of her seat as they drove away.

Theo started walking back to his house.
