Layla raised an eyebrow. 'Like, boyfriend girlfriend?' she asked, eyebrows knitting together. Even Max looked surprised. -
(lol)
Theo nodded. "Yeah." He chuckled at how all of them reacted. "What? It was a year ago, and it didn't end badly!" -
‘How’d it end?’ Max asked, gently rubbing Hazel’s shoulder with his thumb. Layla looked very pissed at this news.

"Well we were together once I got back home for a bit, but long distance didn't go well, so we ended it." He looked at Layla, elbowing her gently. "Hey, it didn't work out so it's all good."

Layla chuckled softly, snuggling into Theo. ‘Okay.’
Max’s expression was unreadable. -
Theo smiled softly, holding her close. He looked up at Max. "You alright?"

Max gave a smile. ‘Of course,’ he said. Hazel stirred awake and groaned. ‘f---, did I fall asleep?’

"Yeah." Theo chuckled. "You didn't miss much of the movie, though."

Hazel rubbed her eyes, sitting up straight. Max looked somewhat disappointed, and reluctantly took his arm off Hazel. ‘Sorry.’

"It's all good, it wasn't a problem." Theo smiled.

Hazel smiled back. ‘Do you have any more of that French bread?’

"I can look for some." Theo nodded, pulling away from Layla and walking to the kitchen to find some.

Max followed him. ‘Hey, I want some French bread!’ he said, laughing. Hazel looked at Layla.

"It's just normal bread!" Theo laughed.
Layla's smile immediately faded, turning into a scowl when she eyed Hazel. She looked Hazel up, then down and up again before raising an eyebrow and turning to the movie. -
Hazel raised her eyebrows at Layla’s reaction to her existence. ‘You good?’
