After Hazel's family went to have lunch at a nearby restaurant, she walked to the address Theo had texted her and rang the doorbell.
-
Theo ran over to his door, opening it with a grin. "Hi!"
-
Hazel smiled. 'Hey.'
(should Theo's fLiRtY friend be there or should we save that for later?) -
(Oooo yeah it could be a thing where she like, wanted to hang out and he didn't want to say no so like... Yeah)
"Come in!" Theo smiled. "I don't have any baguettes, but I do have..." He looked around. "A roll. But a FRENCH roll, so it's better than most." Theo isn't lying, French bread is f---ing amazing. -
(ooo yeah let's do that)
'Damn, bagwettes are fun,' Hazel said, purposely saying it wrong with a grin. She walked inside. 'A French roll? What makes it French?' she teased. Damn alright. -
"I'll buy some next time." Theo chuckled, rolling his eyes. "The fact that a French person made it, and that it tastes better than normal bread, obviously." Ikr now I'm craving them.
-
'I think you just insulted every other country,' Hazel chuckled. 'But I'll have to take your word for it.' Damn now i want some.
-
"It's not my fault they don't know how to make good bread." Theo chuckled, offering the roll to her.
-
Hazel rolled her eyes with a laugh and took the roll. She took a bite out of it and her eyes widened in surprise. 'Do you think your parents would notice if I lived in your attic for this bread?'
-
Theo laughed. "I'm sure they wouldn't mind. I mean, you have a good reason." He heard the door knock and his eyebrows raised slightly in surprise. "Excuse me." He said before walking to the door and opening it.
-
Hazel chuckled and stepped away from the door to let him through. She took another bite out of the roll and took off her puffer jacket since it was warmer inside.
-
It was Layla at the door, catching Theo off guard for a moment. "Hey! What are you doing here?" He asked, switching to French.
"Hi! I was wondering if we could hang out?" Layla asked cheerfully. Theo knew she wanted to do more than hang out.
"Oh, well, I'd love to, but I've got a friend over, so..." Theo wanted to say no, so he could have more one-on-one time with Hazel. He missed her, and wanted to make up for lost time, but he also didn't want to tell his own girlfriend that he didn't want to hang out with her at the moment. -
Hazel had no idea what they were saying. She hadn't exactly payed attention to French classes after Theo left. She'd wagged a bunch of them because she was too depressed for a while. She nibbled on her roll, watching Layla.
-
"Great! I get to meet more of your friends!" Layla smiled. Theo didn't want to say no... So he didn't.
"Sounds good!" He said before turning to Hazel, talking in English again. "Hazel, this is Layla, Layla, this is Hazel. She's going to hang out with us too, if that's ok?" -
Hazel feigned a bright smile. 'Of course! Nice to meet you,' she said, subconsciously squeezing her roll so hard it squished and went flat in her hand.
