“She’s not a monster!” Jonah said angrily. “Will you stop calling her that already?” His only response was another rock thrown towards the two of them. “And will you quit with the rocks?”
-
"she is a monster! I'll throw rocks at a monster." George said. Valako walked closer which made George back away. People stayed 6 feet away from her out of fear the "monster" would attack them or that her facial disfigurement was somehow contagious.
-
“Cut it out George.” Jonah said angrily. “Honestly, who throws stones at a human being?”
“It’s a monster!” George insisted, throwing even more rocks at them. -
Valako slowly approached her house holding her mask close to her face. "I think I'd better go home. It was nice to talk to you today Jonah." Valako said. "You should stay inside of your house forever monster!" George yelled throwing a rock that would've hit her mask if she wasn't shielding it.
-
“Nice talking to you too.” Jonah said. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He walked off, George trying to catch up.
“You’re really spending time with that monster?” George huffed. -
Valako walked into her house. She checked her mask in the mirror carefully. She searched for any cracks or chips before taking it off and putting it on her mask wall. She then remembered what Jonah said earlier. It made her blush. She looked in the mirror, tracing the edge of her deformity. It could never be beautiful. Not when it was a huge flaw transfused onto her face
-
“She’s not a monster.” Jonah protested. “Besides, why do you hate her so much anyways?”
-
"she's ugly to a scary degree and her mom is a psycho dude. Plus people frequently exit the forest mauled" George said. Valako put on her veil and after consideration covered the mirror. She decided after a long while to watch her favorite tape her mom left for her, the hunchback of Notre Dame.
-
“That’s because of animal traps.” He insisted. “And her mom gave us candy. Why would a psychopath do that?”
-
"there is no animal traps, that's just a baseless rumor, and her mom gives you pocket candy sure but she also jumps in front of moving cars screaming bible passages and collects deadly nightshade. There's also the fact that no one even knew she lived in the forest right next to town until she walked out with the beast in her arms according to my dad." George said
-
Jonah shook his head. “Still hardly a reason to throw rocks at her whenever you see her.” He protested. “That’s honestly just cruel.”
-
"well, what if she's as crazy as her mom?" George said angrily. James walked towards them. "What's going on over here?" He asked
-
“Nothing, we just threw rocks at the girl.” Jonah lied. “Right George?”
-
"yeah right. Whatever. Then tomorrow you'll go back to the forest to 'throw rocks" George said, Walking away. "Who spit in his shoes?" James said
-
Jonah shrugged. “I dunno.” He lied again. “But Im not about to ask him.”
