From the edge of the forest someone was in fact trying to find the beast. George was walking around with pockets full of rocks waiting to throw them. "So, what was it like before you moved to this town?" Valako asked Jonah curiously

“Well i used to live in a huge city, so this is a change.” Jonah said. “My das thought living somewhere like this would be better for me for some reason.”

"well, it has it's merits but small towns aren't that great. Take for instance the whole monster legend. People get so bored they come to search for me in the forest so they have something to do" Valako said

He nodded. “Yeah, but at least there’s a forest like this. Not a lot of that in the city.”

"true, trees don't do well around skyscrapers and stuff." Valako said.

Jonah nodded. “Not well at all.” He agreed, looking up at the sky.

"if I could, I'd plant trees all over the place." Valako said. Then she thought she heard yelling again. It was distant.

“What the heck?” Jonah asked, though not to Valako. “What’s going on over there?”

"i don't know, maybe we should go see? Actually maybe I should go see in case it's another teenager or some kid who will throw rocks." Valako said

Jonah shook his head. “No, if you have to deal with that then I wanna follow.”

"okay, but try to stay behind me so you don't get hit." Valako said as she stood up. She held her mask closer to her face in worry.

Jonah nodded. “Alright.” He said, staying behind Valako.

Valako walked into the clearing where her hut was and there, as she thought, was another teen waiting to throw rocks at her. "Why don't you creep around some other town monster!" George said throwing an old chunk of concrete from his pocket.

Jonah glared at George, dodging the chunk of concrete. “You’re such a jerk-“ he said, but was cut off as he dodged another rock.

"what the hell are you doing here Jonah? Especially behind the monster" George asked throwing another rock at the two. Valako watched in worry
