C1 moved into town recently and quickly became popular as the new kid. The town is sleepy and there's no real places to go so when their friends tell them about the beast at the edge of the town they're compelled to investigate, that's where C2 comes in. C2 is a lonely and disfigured person at the edge of town who everyone has deemed the beast. They have never had friends because of their horrifying facial disfigurement so when they see C1 they decide they have to try talking to them before they're seen as a true monster. But what happens if C1 ends up liking the company of the "beast" and even starts loving the figure at the edge of town. And what happens when C2 starts to become enamored with the one person who talks to them without fear

Valako looked over the town. She hoped it would work this time. She put on her nicest floral dress and a half face mask. It covered the flaw. She made a whole basket of cookies. She walked into town and within a few seconds... The rocks flew. "Monster!" The kids cried out. The biggest rock yet was thrown. Her mask broke. "Go back to your forest ugly!" One of them yelled. She frowned. She hadn't said anything yet. She headed back dejected. No mask or cookie would change the inevitable. She looked wrong. She was a "monster "
