“SHUT UP!” Jonah yelled, trying to get George’s attention again. “You’re making all of this up! Just…. Cut it out!”

"I'm not making that up. Those are things her mom did. Everyone agrees she's just as capable." George said. Valako had taken the bread sticks out of the oven and coated them with another layer of garlic butter and added salt.

Jonah shook his head. “You’re horrible. Just leave me alone.” He said angrily.

"Fine, go talk to the ugly girl who lives in the forest by herself and mauls people like her crazy mom." George said storming off. Valako ate a bread stick while waiting for the pizza to finish baking.

Jonah knocked on the door to Valakos house gently.

Valako cautiously peaked out of the door before completely opening the door. "Hello again Jonah!" Valako said smiling under her veil. She was waiting for her egg timer to go off so she could turn up the heat and add more cheese to the pizza to complete it.

Jonah smiled for the first time that day. “Hi Valako!”

"I'd step outside, but I'm making a pizza right now and leaving my oven on while I leave is not a good idea." Valako stated.

Jonah chuckled. “Can I step inside then?” He asked, grinning.

"sure, but be forewarned my house is messy. Also don't step on the rug in the corner that's there to cover a hole in the floor." Valako said before stepping aside from the door.

“My house is messy too.” Jonah said, making sure to avoid the rug.

Valako's house was cosy. There were two rooms off to the side with closed doors. The room that Jonah walked into was the living room, kitchen, and dining room all at once. It smelled like pizza and bread.

“I love the smell of bread.” Jonah said happily. “It smells so good.”

Valako grinned. "Would you like some bread sticks?" She asked. She was fairly proud of the bread sticks because in her opinion they tasted amazing.

Jonah nodded excitedly. “Yes, if they’re anything like the pie then they’re AMAZING.”
