“Good thing I eat an apple a day then.” Jonah joked, grinning.

"I wonder if it counts if I eat an apple pie each day." Valako said, laughing.

“It better, otherwise my whole life is a lie.”

"just like the cake." Valako said bursting out into full laughter.

Jonah laughed along with Valako.

"so, what is it like in town as an everyday person?" Valako asked with curiosity practically oozing from her eye.

Jonah shrugged. “I dunno, I just walk around. Without people throwing rocks at me.”

"it sounds fun." Valako said feeling the skin that would've been her eye.

Jonah nodded. “It’s pretty cool.” He agreed.

"so, what do you do in town? Is there a library? Does the possible library have comic books?" Valako asked

Jonah nodded. “Yeah, it has a bunch of books. Do you want me to get you some next time I go?”

"there's one book I've wanted to read for a long time. I've always wanted to read the book Frankenstein but I haven't been able to because my mom burned all her horror books when I was 3." Valako said

Jonah nodded. "I can grab that for you. Do you want me to buy it so you can keep it?" He asked, knowing he would probably buy it anyway.

"sure, let me get my wallet." Valako said heading into one of the two closed rooms. Valako had been making money her own way by selling crocheted dolls online. They weren't particularly well liked but she got some money from it.
