"You don't have to, I can buy it." Jonah said, smiling.

"I'd feel bad if you spent your money on a book for me." Valako said

Jonah just shrugged. "I don't care."

Valako stepped into her room temporarily to retrieve her wallet.

Jonah sat by Valako's doorway, waiting for her to grab her wallet.

Valako walked out with a wallet covered in small daisy prints and handed Jonah a 20 dollar bill. "This should be enough for a book, right?" Valako said

Jonah nodded. "Yeah, that's good. I'll give you the change, ok?"

"sounds good to me!" Valako remarked. She looked over towards her window for a minute and noticed two butterflies outside. One was a monarch butterfly and the other was a blue butterfly, but there was something odd about it, the wings had incorrectly had fake eyes, most likely a genetic mutation, but the two butterflies were right there together.

"Do you want me to buy it now, or wait until I have to go?" Jonah asked, gingerly entering the room.

"I'd like to keep talking to you Jonah. It gets boring here when there's nobody around and you're the only one who comes here." Valako said closing the door to her room

"Ok." Jonah told her, grinning. "What would you like to talk about?"

"well, I'd love to know more about you, like, what is your favorite color or do you like any genre of music? I wanna know everything!" Valako said enthusiastically

"Well I just moved here, my favorite color is blue and I like pop music. Now you ought to tell me somethin about you."

"well, I like the color yellow and my favorite movie is the hunchback of Notre Dame." Valako said. She was scrounging for anything interesting to say about herself because in her mind there really wasn't much

"I love that movie too!" Jonah said, grinning. "And a ton of other Disney movies are amazing too."
