"I used to haunt the treeline searching for dogs after watching that movie. Surprisingly though, a lot of stray animals go to the treeline. It's one of the reasons I like to eat there." Valako said

“That’s so cool!” He said, smiling. “I wish animals were all over my front lawn. Just lots of weeds.”

"weeds can be cool too, purple dead nettle is actually edible and can be god for you." Valako said stating off one of her favorite random facts

“Really?” He said. “That’s actually super cool!”

"I know right! It just grows in droves but then it's completely food! I heard it tastes good with salt, butter, and vinegar." Valako said, itching her nose along the edge of the mask

“That’s so cool, how’d you learn that?”

"I saw it in one of my mom's cookbooks. She tried to make it once but she mistook the sugar for salt so it was really weird." Valako said

“I bet,” Jonah said, chuckling as he imagined what it would even taste like.

Valako shuddered remembering the taste. As anyone could guess it wasn't pleasant. The only thing that was worse was trying to clean the pan which got sticky after neither of them finished the mismatched food.

“D you know any other edible weeds?” Jonah asked curiously.

Well, dandelions are full of recipes, as well as pokeberries but you have to be super careful with pokeberries because they're poisonous." Valako said

“Yeesh, i probably won’t eat those anytime soon.” He said, chuckling.

"yeah, you gotta be careful with preparation on those." Valako said. Then she thought she heard someone shouting. Could've been her imagination. She'd keep an ear out for more shouting.

Jonah heard a voice too, but didn’t say anything, figuring it was some kid trying to find the ‘monster’.
