Anne just shrugged. 'That's what friends are for,' she said.

Lily smiled, and squeezed Anne's hand. That's when the doctor returned, holding some sort of needle and contraption.
"Miss, I'm going to have to ask you to leave the room" he instructed looking at Anne. -
Anne looked down at Lily, then up at the doctor. 'Alright,' she said, standing up. She squeezed Lily's hand and whispered to her, 'Be brave,' then left the room.

Lily didn't scream,didn't protest even just looked up at the doctor a look of fear plastered on her face. "So, Miss Lily, nurse has just looked through the records for me incase your friend had a possibility of catching scarlet fever and turns out she gave me her address. But that can't be possible as you are only staying there for a few weeks, yes?"
Lily gulped, looking down at the dismantled bed frame. -
Anne sat outside the room, feeling like she was outside the principal's office waiting for a beating. She hoped Lily would be alright.

Lily squirmed uncomfortably, but she couldn't bring herself to be honest. Instead she closed her eyes and clutched her stomach hoping the distraction would prevent the doctor for asking questions. He sighed, feeling her forehead.

Anne tapped her forefingers against her knees, nervously waiting.

Within ten minutes the doctor was holding a needle covered filled with some sort of dark-coloured liquid. Lily shivered as it came closer towards her. -
Anne waited still, growing more uneasy as time passed.

The doctor injected the foul liquid inside her, Lily let out a scream of agony.

Anne winced. She was tempted to march right in there and make sure Lily was alright, but such a thing was more than impolite. She started fidgetting more and waited impatiently to be called back in.

As the needle was ejected, Lily took a few deep breaths turning away from the doctor so he wouldn't see her look of anguish.

Anne clenched her jaw, anxiety creeping into her and twisting her stomach and pounding on her heart.
