Lily stretched her legs as her eyelids drooped and sleep overcame her. She was swallowed by darkness.

Anne couldn't bear it much longer. She stood up and barged into the room, running to the bed Lily occupied. 'Is she OK?' she asked, sweat dripping down her brow.

The doctor lifted his head from his paperwork. "Yes, yes, she's fine just having a rest. Nurse cold flannels please"

Hazel glanced at the nurse, then back at the doctor. 'Are you sure? I heard a scream!'

The doctor shook his head, not bothering to answer Anne.

Anne looked down at Lily, very relieved. She sat on the edge of the bed, smiling a little at the unconscious being.

Lily slowly started to come too. She looked up at Anne, rubbing her sore arm. "Hi"

Anne smiled. 'How are you feeling?' she asked, clutching Lily's hand.

"Sleepy" she laughed, she leaned against the bedframe to help her sit up.

Anne gave a light chuckle. 'Makes sense.'

"Anne, about me staying with-" but she was cut off by the doctor and Anne's mother rushing in.

Anne looked up and smile at her mother, then looked back down at Lily. 'Yes?'

"How are you Lily?" She didn't give Lily the same warmly smile which she usually did.

Anne glanced back up at her mother. She noticed Mariella's change in expression, and frowned for a split second before looking back down at Lily.

"Anne, mayI have a word?" Marielle asked strictly. It wasn't really a question, more like an order.
