Once Lily was dressed back in her borrowed clothes they set back off in the cart.

Anne sat down next to Lily fiddling with her hands.

Lily rested her head against Anne's shoulder, her eyelids heavy.

Anne smiled and brushed a curl out of Lily's face. Mariella was in the seat next to the driver, so she couldn't see Lily and Anne.

Lily smiled back as sleep overtook her.

Anne didn't mind. She grabbed Lily's hand and held it for the remainder of the cart ride.

(Omg what time is it for you rn? X)
When the cart started to slow down, lily woke up. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. -
(nearly 8 in the morning lmao)
Anne realised she'd been staring at Lily, and swiftly looked away. They were outside the bakery now. -
(oh, it's about 10pm for me so I'm off for the night byeee)
"You alright?" Lily asked flicking a lock of hair behind her ear. -
(bye!)
'I'm fine,' Anne said. 'Are you?' -
Lily nodded, patiently waiting as the boy with the cart opened the door and helped her out.

Anne smiled and climbed out of the cart.

Once they were back in the bakery Mariella sent the girls up to bed.

Anne grabbed Lily's hand and walked upstairs.
