'Six hours,' Anne responded, then hesitated. 'Maybe you should come to school with me,' she said after a pause. She figured it wouldn't be a good idea to leave Lily alone.

"Maybe" Lily said though thinking it through she didn't even know how to read or write, but she didn't know the first thing about baking either. School was probably the better version-maybe she would learn something?

Anne smiled and sat down on the bed, waiting for Lily to get changed.

Lily quickly changed into the borrower dress from yesterday, her back to Anne. "Do you think I'll need uniform?" She asked nervously struggling to tie the ribbon round her hair.

'No. It'll only be one day, after all.'

Lily nodded running her offers through her dishelved hair.

Anne grabbed her brush. 'May I?'

"Please" Lily responded sitting down on the bed next to Anne.

Anne smiled and stared brushing her hair. There were quite a few knots, and Anne tried to get them out without hurting Lily.

Lily winced slightly at one of them ost tangly curls but the pain was nothing to what had happened in the factory. She shivered at the thought of it.

'Sorry,' Anne apologized, after noticing Lily winced.

"No, it's fine my hair tangles easily anyway" Lily shrugged.

Anne pursed her lips then continued brushing Lily's hair, and did it up in a nice plait, then tied it with the ribbon. 'Is that better?' she asked.

Lily smiled. "It's perfect, thank you"
