Anne nodded, wondering what she might have done wrong. She didn't remember leaving the house without her gloves, or showing her bare legs in public, so she couldn't think of something she may have done, which worried her.
Anne stood up. -
"Anne, dear, the doctor told me that when he asked for Lily's address you gave him ours, is that true?"

Anne blinked. How'd the doctor find out?
'Uh, w-well...' she stuttered nervously. -
"Do you know her actual address? She's not from around here, is she, her accent its-"

'I don't know her addess, no,' Anne interrupted nervously.

Anne's Mother furrowed her brow becoming very suspicious of her daughter's friend. "Then-, Well you should-" she sighed. "Find out her address"

'Uhm, yeah, OK,' Anne said, bitng down on her lower lip.
(Gtg for the night, bye!) -
(Byee, that was about 8am for me lol)
Lily slowly got up as Anne re-entered the room. "Hey, what was that about?" She asked yawning. -
(Lmao it was just past 7pm for me)
'Err.. nothing,' Anne lied, sitting back down on Lily's bed. She fidgeted with her hands, looking nervous. She knew what would happen if Lily was found out. -
Lily studied her friend's face but decided not to ask further. "Okay, so when can I get out of here?" she asked turning to the doctor.

Anne swallowed, then took a deep breath to calm herself and looked up at the doctor.

"You'll be bedrest for the next few days, but you should be fine after that"

Not if she's thrown onto the streets, Anne thought. But she shook that thought away and smiled at Lily. 'That's not long,' she said, trying to sound upbeat.

Lily gave Anne a questioning look, she could tell something was wrong. From living on the streets, she'd grown up doing a lot of watching and noticed things that other people might miss.

Anne noticed Lily's expression, so she looked away.
