"No, no, no, no, no" Lily muttered.

Anne was starting to get irritated. She didn't want to be, but couldn't Lily see this was for her own good? 'Lily, snap out of it.'

Lily jumped, staring at Anne. She blinked several times like she'd forgotten her friend was there. She shook her head, a look of terror plastered on her face. "Die, die, die" she said. "No doctor, please. I'm fine" she pleaded starting to sob.

Anne frowned. 'Lily, shush.' She wiped away her friend's tears with the cuff of her sleeve.

Lily continued whispering words to herself but didn't attempt to escape.

'What's got you all scared?' Anne said softly.

Lily shook her head. "Factory. Doctor, killed people. Doctor bad" she mumbled not really making sense.

'Ah,' Anne said, nodding her head. She understood a little. 'This same doctor treated me. Doctor good.'

Lily considered this for a moment. "Bad doctor. Good doctor. Bad doctor. Good Doctor" she started repeating this over and over.

'Good doctor,' Anne said softly.

"Good doctor" she repeated then bit her lip anxiously. "No bad doctor. Promise?"

'I promise,' Anne said, relieved Lily had finally calmed down.

Lily kept up her muttering but this time it was with "Good doctor's" so better then it could be but probably still irritating.

'Lily are you OK? You're not going mad, are you?'

Lily looked at Anne as if noticing her presence for the first time. "No" she laughed. "Don't leave"
