“Don’t tell me that you’ve had to touch a dish! You only touch dishes when you each from them!” Verona huffed as if she were lecturing Tessa on why she shouldn’t be doing chores.
“I’m pretty sure you’re being rude.” Jacob muttered under his breath. He cringed with every word his little sister spoke.
“And don’t even get me STARTED on the table! Changing tablecloths are for mere mai-“
Jacob slapped his hand over Verona’s mouth before she could utter another word. Her muffled voice tried to continue despite this problem, but it was of no use.
“Don’t finish that sentence.” Jacob hissed in a hushed voice, shooting daggers at Verona. -
Tessa let out a small, almost inaudible sigh. "How about we go back?" she said. "It looks like we're all finished with our ice cream."

Jacob turned to look at her with a guilty little frown and nodded his head firmly. He stood up and brushed off any dust that could be lingering on his clothes and snapped his fingers. Verona shot up from where she previously sat and stood up straight, almost like a solider and bobbed her head up and down as well.

Tessa raised her eyebrows at Jacob's action towards Verona but said nothing. She stood up as well and started walking the way they had come from, assuming the two of them would come with.

Jacob coughed into his fist, realizing how strange his small interaction with his sister might’ve looked. Verona scowled at him and stuck out her tongue before skipping towards Tessa until she was beside the older girl. Jacob sighed and dragged his hand along his face before running after them.
“We’ve spent about two hours here,” Jacob noted as he glanced down at his watch. -
"They're probably wondering where we are," Tessa said. "I don't remember us telling anyone we were going."

Jacob shrugged his shoulders.
“I doubt any of the servants would care. Father is quite busy nowadays, so he probably thinks we’re back by now.”
Verona nodded her head to back up his claim.
“Yeppo yup! In fact, we can spend allllll day in this park if we wanted! They’ll only notice we are gone in about three hours, anyway!” -
Tessa looked at them with wide eyes for a moment. She would never have been able to get away with that with Miss Javelin. In fact it would have been worse than her wondering why she had taken so long.
"Well, either way, we should go back," she said, looking at the sidewalk ahead of them. -

Jacob nodded and they went back to the big mansion.
(This is the laziest response I have ever typed out in my entire life- I’m so sorry :,)) -
(No, the laziest was when we couldn't figure out what to do with Rasia and Axel. "Axel sat on a tree stump.")
As soon as they got inside and Verona dashed off to who knows where, Tessa looked up at Jacob.
"I thought you didn't like me?" she said. "Or was it just a show for Verona?" -
(WAIT REALLY? LOL)
(Was this in the original one or the alternate ending one? :0)
(Wait, was she supposed to end up with Axel in the alternate ending- I forgot the original plan we had for that one. ;w;)
"I didn't say I didn't like you.” Jacob said flatly. "I'm just not well averse when it comes to talking with commoners. No offense.” -

"Is that why you threatened me earlier today?" Tessa said, looking away from him.
(I just realized it was like 9pm when they went out for ice cream) -

(I think we were going to give Axel a chance for redemption, or make an ending where he didn’t die, so we’re kinda sorta on the right track! :,D 👍)
Jacob's eyes hardened, his face becoming dark.
"It's very late, we should go to bed. Breakfast takes place quite early in the morning. If you’re hungry for dinner, ask the maids for something nice to eat." He said coldly before walking away from her.
(WAIT IT WAS-) -
(they already had supper, remember it was steak and mashed potatoes)
Tessa swallowed. But then she realized she had no idea where her room was. "Wait!" she said before he could leave the room. "Can...can you show me where my room is? I'm going to get lost."
