Nathan nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! Is that a slide?" -
"Yep," Megan said. "Use the steps over there to get up there and then slide through the hole."

"A tunnel," Nathan said, climbing up the stairs and going through head-first. He screamed. "A FAST TUNNEL!"

(Although one day I constantly found myself flying off the end and gaining a mouthful of sand, and only on that day)
Megan caught him when he reached the end before he could fly off. -
I know XD))
Nathan flew into her arms, hugging on to her to avoid falling. "That was fun!" he said breathlessly, filled with adrenaline and exhilaration. -
"Wanna do it again?" Megan asked.
Suddenly she heard a voice from behind her. "Playing pretend, now, are we?"
Megan turned around to glare at the person. Vanessa and her boyfriend Bryce. -
Nathan had started to nod when he heard voices. He turned to look at them, scared. They seemed mean.

"No," Megan said with a roll of her eyes.
"Well, you must be going insane then," Bryce said. "Gonna have to call the asylum and have them pick you up." -
Nathan growled and seemed to grow in size ever so slightly. His friendly eyes narrowed into slits and his claws unsheathed. He bared his teeth threateningly. It was an impressive display, or it would be if he wasn't entirely invisible to them.

"Don't bother," Megan said, turning around to leave. "I can find my way."
"Oh-ho," Vanessa laughed. "Is the great and mighty Megan finally agreeing with us?"
Megan was fed up with this. It happened constantly, day in and day out for years. She whipped around and punched Vanessa. She screamed and yelled and complained about how much pain she was in. Bryce looked like he was about to pummel Megan. -
Nathan jumped onto Bryce, digging his claws into him and hissing furiously.

Bryce fell onto the ground. He yelled in pain and in shock as red marks started appearing on his skin.
Vanessa was still clutching her bloody nose, but she bent down to try and help Bryce up.
Megan just stared wide-eyed at what was happening, at what Nathan was doing. -
Nathan sprang off of Bryce. When he had to defend himself, he had to kill. But he couldn't kill a human.

Megan watched as the two of them ran off.
"Nathan..." she said quietly. -
His eyes returned to their gentle innocent state and he sheathed his claws. "Megan, they wanted to hurt you," he whimpered.
