"More useful," Megan corrected. "I just don't want to try to explain why there's chocolate smeared all over the furniture."

"More useful," Nate repeated, lifting up the thick hunk of cake with the fork and biting into it.

"Once you're done would you like to go somewhere?" Megan asked.

"Like where?" Nate said excitedly.

"The park?" Megan suggested. He seemed like he would like that.

"Ye-es! I want to go to the park," Nathan said, finishing off the cake and setting the plate on the ground. "I done."

"Put it on the counter," Megan said, motioning at the plate. Having Nathan around was like trying to train a pet.

Nathan carefully placed it on the counter. "Now we are ready?" -
Megan nodded. "Let's go," she said. She walked out of the house with Nathan trailing close behind.

Nathan trotted after her on four legs, a little bounce in each step he took. "What's a park?"

"A park is the place where a playground is at," Megan said. "A playground has slides, and swings, and a bunch of other things."

"Play ground," Nathan said in awe. "I wanna see the play ground!"

Megan nodded. They walked down the sidewalk, nearing the playground. Soon it was in sight. "There it is," she said, pointing.

Nathan tore off towards the playground, scampering at a alarmingly fast speed towards the first thing he saw: the swings. He tried to slow himself down, but he had overshot and smacked his forehead into one of them.
