Megan wasn't sure how durable demon skulls were compared to human ones, so she ran over to him. "You okay?" she asked.

Nathan was a little dazed but happy. "Yes! Swing is squishier than my head."

Megan shook her head in amusement. "Get on the swing and I'll push you," she said.

"But I don't want to get pushed off," Nathan said, crawling obediently onto the swings and perching entirely on the seat.

"Not pushed off," Megan said. She pulled the swing back then pushed it forward. "Pushed like this."

Nathan toppled off, having not held on to where you were supposed to. He landed face first in the sand.

"You're supposed to hold onto the chains," Megan informed the demon.

Nathan spat out pieces of glass, climbing back onto the seat and holding onto the chains. "Ready!" he said, gripping on with all his might.

Megan adjusted him a little, and then pushed him.

Nathan gasped, the breeze brushing against his face. "I like it!" he said breathlessly. "Again! Again!"

After a while of pushing, Megan's arms began to tire. "Go try the slides," she said.

"Ye-es! Is that a slide?" Nathan asked, hopping off of the swing and pointing at a red one.

"This?" Megan said, setting her hand on the tubular object.
