Megan made a face. "Eugh, no," she said.

"Then I could become your cat," Nathan said, turning into the black cat that he'd been earlier.

"I forgot you could do that," she said, looking down at him. "That could work if they let me 'keep' you."

"Beg them for a kitty," Nathan said with a sneaky grin.

"They'll want you to only eat cat food," Megan said.

Nathan scrunched up his nose. "So no cakes?"

"Nope," Megan said. "Maybe when they're out of the house, though."

Nathan whimpered. "But choccy cake..."

"I don't know how else this is going to work, Nathan," Megan said.

"Well, if I get to stay with you then I don't care what I eat," Nathan said firmly.

Megan smiled, not being able to stand the loyalty and adorableness of this demon.
