Molly felt comforted by the feeling of Basil's touch on her fingers. It reminded her of her mother, but it had a male attribute to it- it made her feel like Basil could have been her father. She growled when she was forced to rise, secretly enjoying what Basil was saying to the other. The insults were obviously getting to the warrior. The pup noted that he twitched while Basil spoke of his strength, and smiled triumphantly when he stopped to glare at the lamb. She didn't want to leave, but when her eyes met Basil's, she knew what she had to do. Without a word, Molly rushed out, not needing to be prodded with the sword to know she was allowed to leave.
The man watched the little wolf leave, sighing as her tail and her ears went with her. Wolf's fur was so precious to him, though he knew it was a lost cause now that he had let her go. He looked down at Basil now, setting his sword down on the floor. "You must think you're heroic, don't you? Saving that little girl.. Letting yourself be alone with a much larger man, that wasn't a smart play. But I'm not one to complain. It means I can possibly take more than just your tail right here." -
The lamb was glad to have her support, but needed her help now more than anything right now, and he knew she'd be more than happy to get what he needed. He could tell how happy Molly was when he insulted the other, and it was clear he enjoyed breaking down an arrogant man's pride. He'd tried to do that with Cyrus, but the wolf always seemed to have something to give back.
Once Molly had gotten away, Basil narrowed his eyes up at the other. "I'm no hero, not even close, but I'm a lamb of my word. Like I said, I made an important promise. And honestly, I've known female rams stronger than you. Maybe not as big, but much scarier." He gave the other a look of uncertainty. There wasn't much else he had for his animal attributes, his tail was all. Or his hair, but most people didn't understand how to use it, so that would be useless. "And what might that be..?" -
"Yet you are a hero," he bent down beside Basil and his sword, smiling. "Giving up yourself for a child whose mother was worried to watch her go. And I can be strong without all of this, you know." The man removed his chest plate to prove his point, tapping his own chest that was now visible. "One doesn't have to seem scary to be scary. For example, that small mutt that came in yesterday.. Asking for rooms for his pack.. He doesn't look scary at all. But I could feel that sort of pain, that hatred vibe, just flowing off of him. And when he dragged you along with him, oh man, he must have been some sort of scary." He shook his head, sighing as he got lost in his own world for a moment. "Are you not used to such expressions, little lamb? My my, this will be extremely fun for me."
-
"And you are a monster." Basil cringed away from him, trying to keep some distance. The sound of metal against the floor hurt his ears as it rang. "You're not strong. You still prey on the weak, and you're lucky I never grew horns.." He knew the other was talking about Cyrus, and he didn't know the half of it. When the alpha showed up, the warrior would be in for it then. He had to keep from smiling at the thought of the wolf tearing this man apart. Though it was much easier for him to not smile and laugh when he heard what the other said next, inching away from him more. "What are you talking about? What do you mean by 'fun' for you? And you don't call me that!" Basil couldn't hold back the agitated noise that built up in his throat.
-
"No, I'm just a man with a job that has some dark roots," he hissed, moving and pinning Basil down with a single hand. He leaned in to whisper in his ear, "I prey on whomever I chose to. Who I attack is none of your concern." The warrior pulled up, taking in Basil's attributes. He wasn't built, though he was soft, and the lamb's expression was intriguing. He glared unhappily at the other's smile, assuming that it was his way of making fun of him. "Stop being a baby and stay here, eh? Don't you want to know what I want to do to you? Look, I can even give you a hint- you're a virgin, from the looks of things. I would like to take that away from you, since the young lady ran off. But little girls aren't quite my type, anyway.." He grinned sadistically, stroking Basil's cheek. "Little lamb."
-
The lamb grit his teeth when he was pinned, turning his head away from the other when his face came closer to Basil's, even going as far as pressing the heels of his palms into the warrior's chest, expressing his distaste for the man. "It's my concern when it's me and a pup, a--hole!" He was relieved when he pulled back, but became more afraid than before at his next words. His eyes went wide at the thought of his first time being forced by someone that wanted to cut off his tail and prey on children. He was more disgusted that he'd intended to do the same to Molly. "You're even more sick than I thought..Don't touch me and stop calling me that!" Basil turned to bite the other's hand.
-
The warrior smirked as Basil's disgusted expression got clearer, laughing as the smaller touched his hands in an attempt to keep him away. He grabbed onto the lamb's wrists, holding them in one hand while looking at him admirably. "You sure do have guts for being so small. I like feisty women and men," he emphasized his last word to Basil, lightly shaking the wrists in his grasp. "Stop calling me sick, it's certainly the wrong word. I've already told you, my job just calls for a little bit of.. Ahh.. Darker measures. But it's great you've caught on to what I'd love to do to you, little lamb! So very great." He chuckled when the other tried to bite him, and let him try to do so, not bothered by how much it would hurt. "You're a lamb, and you're little. I may call you the obvious."
-
Basil began to squirm in his grasp, trying to pull himself free. He didn't want to be anywhere near the other, he honestly wished he'd picked up Molly earlier and ran. If there was one thing lamb legs were good for, it was long strides and running. But that time had long since passed, and he was stuck in this situation. "I don't care wgat you call it, you're disgusting, sick, demented!" The lamb realized he couldn't do much with his hands so he began to kick at the other. He managed to get a bite on the other's hand. His body shook with anger when the warrior insisted on calling him the nickname Cyrus had given him. "Only alpha..can call my that.."
-
The larger male kept Basil down firmly, not willing to let such a beautiful soul get away from him. His job lead him to this boring town, and of all of the people, he liked the idea of stealing from a savage pack of wolves. In his opinion, they were worse than his kind. They ate what they wanted, some were quite cruel.. He was sure that his act of letting Molly go was nothing close to what they were capable of doing. A scowl crossed his face as Basil continued to insult him. "Quit that, you'll ruin my mood.. And then I'll intentionally make it bad for you." He paused when Basil spoke again. At the mention of the alpha, the warrior couldn't help bursting into laughter. "Oh, alpha this, alpha that. I bet he couldn't do a thing against me!"
-
Basil still tried his best to keep moving, refusing to not give in. He narrowed his eyes at the other making the experience 'intentionally' bad for the lamb. He spat at the other. "Hah! Having trouble getting it up? Having a limp dick is your problem, not mine. And if you thought I was ever going to enjoy this, then you need your brain checked." He hated the other's voice, face, laughter. Especially when he insulted Cyrus, claiming he wouldn't be able to do anything. "Don't get so cocky... You don't know a damn thing about him."
-
"I don't have trouble when I have tons of innocents waiting to be snatched up and sold off," the warrior hissed, already upset with the taunts coming from Basil. He found it hard to respond without getting heated up. "Shut up, little lamb." The other glared down at the smaller, weaker boy, getting irritated by his words. He was easily tossed out of his thoughts when people like Basil happened to be his victims- it was one of his weaknesses. He raised his hand as if to slap the other, but dropped it at once, scowling. "I don't need to know anything to know that he's nothing more than a dog--"
The warrior was cut off at the sound of breaking glass. A hand had been shoved though the window and was scratching for the door knob. The man scrambled up, pulling Basil along with him, just in time for the hand to reach the knob and break it. The door fell open, revealing Cyrus- his eyes were glowing in the darkness of the building, and he snarled at the warrior at the sight of his hands on his Basil. "Worthless scum," Cyrus barked as he stepped into the room. "Preying on a little girl and my companion. I will eat you, no matter how disgusting you taste, I swear to the moon!" -
"That's why you're limp right now, huh?" Basil retorted but flinched when the other raised a hand to strike him. He knew he'd been able to break the man's 'tough guy' composure, but he didn't want to be hit either. Though that hand never hit him. The man was cut off and the next thing the lamb knew he was on his feet. He'd never been so happy and afraid to at the same time. On one hand, Cyrus had come to his rescue as promised, on the other hand his eyes showed a side of the wolf Basil hadn't seen before. Still, he struggled, kicking, biting, and elbowing the warrior until he was loose enough to break free, running to the alpha for protection. "Cyrus!"
-
The warrior cursed as Basil's fighting started back up. He cried out, "No!" as Basil got away. As Cyrus started to hold his arms out for the smaller boy, the warrior saw his opportunity to at least snag the lamb's tail- he tripped the other as he rose, smirking. Yanking the sword up off of the floor, he nodded to Cyrus with a grin. "I'm taking my prize, wolf. You can eat me all you want once I get what I want." With those words, he swung the sword up, then down- a clean cut that took a large portion of Basil's tail. He scooped up the little thing, holding his hand up. "Adios, mutt and weakling!" The warrior ran off to another door, disappearing out of sight. The sound of more breaking glass could be heard.
Cyrus rushed to Basil's side, helping him up. His anger vanished, turning into concern. His eyes dulled down to their normal tone. "Basil.. I can go after him, if you want. I'm sure some of the pack is already after him. I can make him pay for.. Well.." He looked down to the bloody stump, biting his lip. -
Basil gasped from the initial shock then screamed when the pain settled in. He collapsed, feeling shockwaves of pain shoot down his legs and making it difficult for him to move. Tears began to flow from his cheeks when he realized what had been taken from him and he reached for Cyrus, wanting to be held and comforted. "Don't leave..me..." It was true he wanted the warrior dead, but he needed to be treated before any of that, not to mention the man would somehow snake his way out of their grasp regardless. "Help me..And please..stop looking at it..." He panted, still struggling to move closer to the alpha.
-
Cyrus was slightly shocked to see Basil wanting to be held by the other, but he did not hesitate to bring the smaller boy into his arms to hold him to his chest. His ears flicked as he stroked the lamb's hair for a bit, sighing softly. He focused on the other's eyes instead of his tail upon his request. "I won't leave you. But we do need to get back to the inn, so I can wrap this up." The wolf gently released him, clasping his hand. "Let's return. Molly's mother got supplies and some more food for you both to have. You should have seen her come running up.. She ran as fast as she could to get us.." Cyrus lead him to the door, avoiding the broken glass on the floor. He opened it, ignoring the surprised onlookers, and began to walk with Basil towards the inn. Without looking back at the other's tail, he leaned in to mutter, "You should hold your tail.. Squeeze the end, Basil, so you don't bleed all over the place. Unless you want me to do that for you so you can hold on to me. I won't let another soul touch you."
