Everything was completely silent, except for some insects of the night, until the morning came. The faint rustling of many bushes in every direction said that the werewolves were waking and preparing for the day. Aniel began to stir himself, slowly sitting up to wipe the sleep from his eyes. He looked at Nevaeh with a tired smile. "How are you? Did I bother you while you slept?"
-
"Oh, no, little one. You were fine," She promised, ruffling his hair again, even though it was already mused from sleep. Nevaeh didn't feel like bothering him with the fact that she hadn't slept with all. In part, she didn't really feel comfortable here, as though she was starting to doubt her hatred, she still didn't trust the werewolves. "So, what do you do during the day? Just.. Play? Or do you have a sort of school, like human children?" She was genuinely questioning.
-
"Good. Sometimes I move in my sleep. At least that's what Rayne says.." Aniel stretched and looked around, wondering where the healer had gone, but was pulled from the thought when Nevaeh began to question him about their daily lives. "We eat, play, talk to the oldest in our pack and listen to their stories of the past. Some of the older males get to go hunting and exploring with their papas. I dunno if I'll get to though.. Nevaeh, what's school?"
-
Obviously, since he didn't know about school, they didn't have it. "Um.. Well, it's like.. Well, all the children in an area, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, they meet in this building to learn stuff. Stuff like math, and how to read, and basic science and history and stuff." She didn't know how to explain it other than that, and bit her lip, hoping that it would be good enough.
-
(Your turn in the group one bby)
"I don't really know what math or science is, we read and somrtimes write, and we sometines take about our history with the older wolves. They tells what their elders told them, and so on for as long as we've existed. Wanna come with me? I'm sure they'll share with you, too. And we can get some food while we're up." Aniel chirped as he stood up, running his fingers through his short, matted hair. He teally a brushing and probably a bath. -
(I know I will get to it I'm just honestly not feeling it right now, and I don't want to give a crappy response)
"..I'd love to come with you, but I can't exactly walk," She explained, gesturing to her broken ankle. She needed crutches before she could go anywhere, but she loved Aniel's enthusiasm. "Why don't you go find me a stick? It has to be a little taller than you, and really sturdy. And then, a thick stick the length of your forearm or about, and.. And some twine? Or even some thick vine?" Nevaeh knew how to make a quick crutch. -
(Okay, sweet. Throw me a kik once you've responded. :3)
"Oh. Hmm... I know Rayne has some of that stuff in here already, but not the really long stick. I'll see if I can find one or if someone can help me get one. So just rest right here until I get back, okay?" The pup grinned and hurried out of the medic room to look for a tall branch that would work as a support for Nevaeh. -
(I will. Thank you~)
Nevaeh nodded, and did, in fact, close her eyes and rest for a little. She didn't sleep, though, but rather just laid there and thought about the little pup, smiling in her head. He really did remind her of her nephew, or any human child for that matter, as he was talkative, and cute, and sweet. Maybe she would brush his hair for him later. He looked like he needed it. Did werewolves have flees? Maybe not. She wasn't sure. -
(You're welcome :3)
Aniel returned some time later with Rayne, the shewolf carrying a large stick with her. "Is this too long? I can break it if you need it shorter." She offered while retrieving a smaller stick and some more vines like the ones used to keep the Hunter's ankle straight.
The pup puffed his cheeks a bit. "I think it's long enough. Not too tall.. At least I don't think it's too tall.." -
Nevaeh, now sitting up, examined the stick, and then nodded. "It's fine. I just need the other stuff to make a crutch. Ah, thank you. Those'll do." She wasn't sure if the she wolf was going to let her make her own crutch, or if Nevaeh was going to be allowed to do it herself. She hoped it was the ladder, as Nevaeh walked a little funny, and needed to make the crutch at an angle so that it would actually support her weight.
-
Rayne didn't mind letting Nevaeh make the crutch on her own seeing as she needed to make it to fit her body's height and weight, only helping her if necessary. "Need help standing?" She asked, seeing that it might be difficult for the Hunter to get up at first. "And if it starts to bother you, just let me know, and I'll give you something for it."
-
"I think I got it," Nevaeh said, giving Rayne a thin smile as she used the wall to support herself until she got the crutch under her. It stung a little to put any weight on her ankle, but Nevaeh would heal quickly. She'd game to the conclusion that it wasn't broken badly, and possibly just sprained. She might walk with a limp for some time, but..
"Aniel, wanna go see about food?"
(So like she needs to get attacked and turned. I'm thinking the guy she shot with an arrow takes her aside where no one can see and corners her or something idk) -
The pup grinned and nodded. "I'll show you were everything is, too! You'll know like the back of your paw..er..hand." He blushed a bit from embarrassment, not used to refering to his hands as, well, hands. "I forget. Humans don't have paws." Aniel mumbled as he sniffed the air for the scent of food or fire. They weren't complete monsters to the point that they didn't at least roast food, and shewolves often gathered fruits and vegetables.
(I was thinking of the same wolf~ :3
Then here comes whoever to the rescue!) -
"..Mm. That's alright," She smiled, and ruffled his hair, nodding. Nevaeh didn't eat much in the mornings normally, but she hadn't had anything in a while. She traveled outside of the small hut, glancing around. It was fall, and leaves crunched under her feet, which made her smile, almost forgetting the pain in her ankle. Hopefully, she'd be able to leave before winter. Nevaeh didn't want to freeze to death here.
(Yes
We both know who should rescue her) -
"Well something's cookin', and it'smaking me hungrier, so let's go see what." He grinned, running ahead of her only stopping a few feet away to make sure she was following behind him. He knew where the food was, everyone knew. There was another sort of clearing nearby where they kept a hole for burning wood. They also stored vegetation while meat was typically fresh.
Of course, one wolf growled at the woman's presence whenever he could even catch her scent. The scar, which should've healed beyond a point of never being there im the first place, was his reminder that she was out to kill him and the rest of their pack. No matter whose lives she destroyed in the process. "The b----..I'll give her a scar she'll never forget as well.."
(Obvi it's Aniel
jk we know who it ish)
